I was very impressed with Sahil Hotel. Starting with room - Nice, clean and very modern. It's 200 sq ft but great solo or couple travelers. The staff was very courteous and helpful. The Two in-house restaurant offer great dining option at hotel residents. As someone who travels international, I found this hotel to be on par.

The breakfast quality was very poor. It gave me a tummy ache so I stopped going for breakfast. The choices were not great. Cleanliness in the room is substandard- beds and sofa dirty and sheets cheap quality. The decor old and depressing. The surrounding area is unsafe and the crowd unpleasant.

As a single traveller from NZ the staff went out of there way to make me feel welcome. I'd had surgery and every day they enquired after my progress.The reception staff, security staff and the restaurant staff were all great, professional and social. Also big shout out to cleaning staff.

Location was good. Close to Mumbai Central and small shops. Decent hotel compared to other hotels in the same area. Room were a bit small. Bathroom was ok however I do not prefer Shower in a bath tub. There was hot water. The hotel needs to be renovated. Front foyer is very small and not much room to move when there is a lot of guest waiting around. Be aware of the taxi drivers parked at the front of the hotel. Do not trust them. Take a Uber instead however if you do book a taxi driver on the main street in front of the hotel, just make sure that taxi driver will pick you up on the day and time that is confirmed and they do not cancel on the word of another taxi driver who is parked at the front the hotel. The taxis drivers near the hotel are untrustworthy and will tell lies to another taxi driver to make sure your taxi is cancelled and you are to take their taxi. Overall location was good and staff were friendly.
