Not bad for the money

This was my 2nd stay at Al-Madinah. Again it is off the beaten path in a construction contractor area. Then again Muscat does not have an entertainment area of bars, discos, restaurants like other countries. Thus with the exception of the mall hotels few to nothing is walkable. This hotel give a great price for those of you who already have malls at home, so the mall hotels are really not special to you. The only persistent issue is one of the South Asian front desk workers (this is not singling them out as they dominate the migrant labor industry) is intellectually challenged in terms of doing business at the Western standard. We are not talking about the elite and wealthy South Asians of the West here. The hotel hiring suggests lack of training or investment into the best workers. The WiFi lack of reliability can leave you stranded ... literally. We were trying to book tickets all night as the bad WiFi could not load a single site. Also Oman blocks WhatsApp voice and Viber completely. This can also leave you blind and possibly stranded without access to your loved ones. Aside, free breakfast is a plus.

Diamond in the Rough

Ok this place is in an area under construction and industrial. So it’s not much to find eats by foot. However - the off the path location makes it an absolute bargain. Why suffer like a imprisoned animal in a youth hostel when you can have this peaceful, quiet and AFFORDABLE room? The only downer was weird WiFi, the hotel blamed their server. In this day and age internet is crucial. Also be warned Oman is censoring/blocking Viber completely and WhatsApp voice. This can really ruin your trip too. Cheers.

This is a very good option for anyone working in Muscat on a monthly contract basis. It’s only 10 minutes drive from the CBD/Avenues Mall and the very helpful staff can help with car rentals and/or a local driver. Good food reasonably priced, pleasant pool area too.

Comfy location with good pool and tennis courts

Used this as a place to stay when visiting Muscat and only about a 20 mins walk to the Grand Mosque. Good facilities on site. Room was tidy, clean and bed comfortable and with air conditioning

یک هتل در یک منطقه دور افتاده وکثیف وکارگری. خیلی قدیمی ولی نسبتا تمیز بود اصلا بدرد توریست نمیخورد بدرد مهمانان همان منطقه صنعتی میخورد از شهر خیلی فاصله داشت به هیچ جای دیدنی نزدیک نبود

الفندق بشكل عام جيد وهادي قريب من المستشفى السلطاني وبوشر الخوير، الموظفين متعاونين وخلوقين السلبيات: 1- بركة السباحه لايوجد فيها تبريد، حرارة الجو 45 درجه مئويه وسخونة الماء ربما أكثرمن ذلك. 2-المنطقة المجاوره للفندق غير مريحه منطقه صناعية تعج بالشاحنات والورش، لكي تصل للفندق تحتاج لجهاز ملاحه. 3- لايوجد في الغرفة مثل ماذكر في الموقع روب حمام ولا أدوات صحية مثل بروش أسنان وغيرها يجب أن تطلباها إذا أحتجت. هذا وأرجو من إدارة الفندق أخذ هذه الملاحظات بعين الأعتبار وأتمنا لهم التوفيق.
