“The apartment is a short walk from Salerno train station and conveniently situated near multiple shops, restaurants and cafes. The cute balcony offers a nice view of the surrounding neighbourhood and patios below. The bed was very comfortable and room cleaning service was offered daily. There was unfortunately a plumbing issue in the bathroom and apparent mold buildup in the ceiling corner which was visually unattractive and came with a slight odor. “Communication with the hosts was poor and not very helpful. They did not answer our questions in a reasonable amount of time, leaving us to have to figure out a lot of things on our own. We never did see or meet a host, even though the booking site mentioned that there would be someone there. The entry system to access the unit was quite confusing. Quiet time was supposed to start at 10 pm. There were guests right outside our door using the kitchen and sitting area until 11:30. No……

“Schönes Zimmer in einer Privatwohnung in einem Wohnhaus. Sauber, alles funktioniert. Du solltest wissen, dass das Zimmer im 2.Stock ohne Aufzug liegt. Zentrale Lage, 13 Minuten zu Fuß zum Bahnhof.”

“The interior of the building was right out of a 1920's villa. Marble everywhere. Beautiful decor. The staff was exceedingly helpful about the history and sights to see. This was only supposed to be a stopover before we went to the Amalfi Coast. There was so much to see, I should have scheduled a couple more days.”

The only downsides are hot water for showers is pretty limited so you need to space them out or have short showers, and the ladder to the bunk bed is not fixed onto the bed making it a safety concern, but this could be fixed with a couple screws. ”

“Arriving wasnt a good experience. The host was not ready for us. The info to the apartment was sent after we have arrived trying to figure out how to get in. We arrived in a ran storm which doesnt help. Our room was cold, no information of any kind on our to work coffee machine , where to get anything, where the wifi is. We have to figure things out ourselves. When i message the host , i didnt get respond till the next day . The room was large though with balcony. Our room was not clean……

“We had to use multiple cabs to get to our destinations which was expensive. We had a tour scheduled that we had to take a cab to the pick up site in 98 degree heat. Check your maps carefully before booking.”
