“My partner and I were really excited to stay at this location. It was far enough from the main road that it was nice and quiet. But still close enough to walk to anything we needed. The pool and hot tub could definitely have used a good cleaning. Also we were sad to find out that the sauna cost money when we got there. Also the food available was a bit on the pricey side but there was a restaurant across the street at the golf course with less expensive options so we ended up eating there. The……

“Great hotel with nicely renovated rooms. 15-20 min leisure walk to old town centre. Good breakfast included. Does not have luggage storage so may need to ask ahead if you need this service. ”

“The owners need to to replace the missing blind in the Bernard Shaw room. The house next door has a very bright light on the corner of their house that shines in the bedroom. It is very hard to fall asleep with the bedroom being so bright. No, I’m not taking about the lighted tennis courts but it would help with that lighting also. Other than that everything was perfect and Yvonne is the best!”

“It was an enjoyable stay. The room was clean and John was welcoming and thorough. The breakfast buffet provided at the Pillar & Post was excellent. The only negative was the steepness of the stairs to the porch and the 2nd floor rooms. It can be difficult for anyone with walking/joint issues.”
