Our stay at the hotel in Niagara Falls was absolutely amazing! The highlight was definitely the breathtaking view of the falls right from our room. Waking up to the sound and sight of the waterfalls was unforgettable, especially at night when the falls were illuminated. The room was clean, spacious, and very comfortable, with large windows that gave us a perfect panoramic view. The staff were friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help. The location was also excellent — close to restaurants, attractions, and just a short walk to the falls.

There is no restaurant on-site at the hotel. However, Applebee's is located just next to the hotel as well as other known restaurants surrounding the area such as IHOP at the Wyndham Grand Fallsview and Subway and Breakfast Buffet just a short walking distance away.

Gorgeous view of the falls from the Premium rooms. A little pricey generally but it was a nice hotel, clean rooms. Check in took quite a bit, there was a long-ish line for the 4pm check in time. Even with the wait, staff were helpful and friendly. I would suggest arriving a bit ahead of your check in to start lining up, to avoid a wait! Parking was $50/night which did seem high, even relative to other parking options in the area

We found that it was a dirty property. Every time we were in the hotel we noticed that it needed a vacuum. (elevator, hallway) The carpet in our room felt sticky almost velcro like. The floor in the bathroom was sticky when we first got there also. The location was great. For the money we paid I do think it should be kept up better. Do not park at the hotel, $50 a night. Park at the casino $15 a night. It is a 2 minute walk back to the hotel.

Falls View Suite was awesome! Was on the 11th floor and had perfect view of the Horseshoe Falls. Amazing view! Room was very big, with a separate tv viewing area which was nice for the teenage kids when the parents were ready to sleep. Only gripe is the parking fee on-site. $50CAD per day. There is a parking garage right next door for $15. You could come and go 3 times per day in that lot for less, and I don't normally come and go that often. Would be nice if parking was free. It's no extra cost to the hotel, but it is lost revenue in an area that's all about squeezing every cent out of tourists. Overall would still recommend as the location and view were perfect.

We have stayed at the Oakesl about a year ago for my birthday and it was absolutely fantastic, our kids since then have asked repeatedly to see the Falls, so for our daughter's 7th birthday we booked a 2 bedroom suite months in advance, while we were there we saw a arcade for kids, there was a complementary breakfast. The day of departure we received a phone call, exactly the same as my parents did one year prior, the apparent, "pluming issues" and they were then rerouted to the Hilton which for them, being attached to the casino and ammeneties they may have needed was not exactly what we may have enjoyed with our young 2 children. Miraculous and maybe coincidentally a year lated the same phone call day of our departure plumbing issues and being diverted to the Hilton. I can only recommend if you book this hotel, maybe just book the Hilton which they will divert you too, pay 140 for parking off-site, no breakfast, attached to a Casino (great for kids). We are at Great Wolf Lodge for our last day today Sunday! Amazing. Don't book Oakes Hotel with kids because you will get Hilton. Expensive and fans, we just liked going down for non AL a carte breakfast, Our "Upgrade" was actually a lot more expensive then what we paid for! WE made the most of it by doing fun stuff with the kids but I would not book this hotel at all! Your booking at the Oakes is not dependeble at all.. So good luck! At Great Wolf Lodge today! Amazing! Skip this booking. Waste of time with kids. My 2 cents!!!!
