No breakfast menu. Pool and hot tub was nice staff seem to be unfriendly. We were told that the only room they had on the Falls side had stairs to the room so our room was on the 14th. Floor but then you walked in the steps took you down so we were actually on the 13th floor we though that was weird.

Rooms were clean however a lack of plug ins and lamps. Maid service didnt happen unless we requested it. Gym was quite minimal and sadly were rusty. No bar bells. Didn't use pool as it was packed wuth people and small pool. Parking was 50 per day of your stay. That seemed alot. Then one day when we came back from our outing all of our room keys were stopped. We had to go back downstairs and have them reinstate the cards. When I had to call front desk the phone rang for sometime then it was picked up by someone laughing. Sorry not professional. The view from the room and the connecting room was the best part!!

The Falls view from our room on the 12th floor exceeded expectations. The room itself was below expectations. Waking up to the view and seeing the Falls lit up at night was excellent. We chose this hotel specifically for the view and the ability to combine an on site gym and pool as part of a complete hotel experience. Unfortunately, the fitness room was not usable for the entire stay. The main equipment had an out of order sign from day one through the duration of our stay. An off site gym was offered and was actually very good, but it is not the same experience. Having to go to the front desk each time, coordinate access, and leave the property disrupted the flow of the stay and removed the ability to easily combine a workout with a swim. Other issues added up: • Housekeeping only available on request • Very basic bathroom and overall room condition • Low water pressure • Construction during the stay not forewarned • Lobby not inviting with limited comfortable seating • Coffee available 24/7 but very low quality, closer to instant than fresh There was also a mandatory $50.67 resort fee charged at the property. Having already paid for the stay in full in advance, this felt like an unexpected additional charge at checkout rather than part of the upfront price. Overall, great view but the rest did not match expectations or as advertised.

We have stayed at the Oakesl about a year ago for my birthday and it was absolutely fantastic, our kids since then have asked repeatedly to see the Falls, so for our daughter's 7th birthday we booked a 2 bedroom suite months in advance, while we were there we saw a arcade for kids, there was a complementary breakfast. The day of departure we received a phone call, exactly the same as my parents did one year prior, the apparent, "pluming issues" and they were then rerouted to the Hilton which for them, being attached to the casino and ammeneties they may have needed was not exactly what we may have enjoyed with our young 2 children. Miraculous and maybe coincidentally a year lated the same phone call day of our departure plumbing issues and being diverted to the Hilton. I can only recommend if you book this hotel, maybe just book the Hilton which they will divert you too, pay 140 for parking off-site, no breakfast, attached to a Casino (great for kids). We are at Great Wolf Lodge for our last day today Sunday! Amazing. Don't book Oakes Hotel with kids because you will get Hilton. Expensive and fans, we just liked going down for non AL a carte breakfast, Our "Upgrade" was actually a lot more expensive then what we paid for! WE made the most of it by doing fun stuff with the kids but I would not book this hotel at all! Your booking at the Oakes is not dependeble at all.. So good luck! At Great Wolf Lodge today! Amazing! Skip this booking. Waste of time with kids. My 2 cents!!!!
