Excellent villa

Great property and we had a fantastic week. Welcome pack was good and kitchen was well stocked with food and equipment. Pool was very good and daily cleaning very helpful. Used recommended local lady for catering a couple of times which was great - especially the fresh fish they cooked. Only slight shame was the new villa being built in front that affected the view but was not noisy..Overall an excellent stay.

Great villa

A modern well equipped villa that worked well for 12 adults. We loved the pool and the view. A small thing to note is that the 6th bedroom in the basement is not as nice as the other rooms. The washing machine and dryer are located in this room's bathroom which was an inconvenience and seems unnecessary given the size of the basement. It was great to have a daily cleaning but the ground floor was not swept or mopped during the entire week so was quite dirty by end of stay. Pool towels are provided and changed several times during the week. There was a generous welcome pack.

Two birthdays

The property is not a new as the marketing pictures imply. Impressive building, good infinity pool, good location with sea views yet walking to local shops and restaurants. Problems with AC and the Jacuzzi on our visit which took too long to fix. Manager and owner made sincere apology and addressed the concerns. House is on the market so may not be able to rent for much longer.

The villa was immaculate, the kitchen fully equipped and the location ( a short 10 min walk to Panormos ) exceptional. The only slight negative was a couple of communication issues, what to do with garbage and daily housekeeping but both were rectified. Highly recommend this villa to anyone who enjoys the finer things in like.

Where to start with this wonderful place? First of all, the photos don’t do it justice — this is an extraordinary villa and nicely maintained. We were five couples and it felt very spacious. Rooms are lovely, with large and comfortable beds. The kitchen is large and well-equipped. The pool deck provided ample space for lounging during the day and watching gorgeous sunsets every evening. We visited in late September, so the pool was a bit chilly the first few days, but it warmed up as the weather did (and there was always the hot tub for warming back up). If you prefer open water, a few minutes walk directly in front of the villa brings you to a wonderful little pebble beach where you can swim in the beautiful Aegean Sea — like a private swimming hole. Walk west along the water in front of the villa and look for a set of stone steps that lead down to the beach (bring water shoes and goggles!) Being able to walk into the sweet town of Panormos was a terrific plus, with great shops and restaurants. There is a small market a block away from the villa that has all the basics, including sunscreen, water, fruit, and milk. Our favorite local find was a short hike to the adorable lighthouse that you can see to the northeast every night after sunset. Valia and her team from ThinkVilla were extremely responsive and helpful in our planning. Dimitris was great as our local contact to help with any issues or questions that we had during our stay. Their best recommendation was our personal chef, Kostas. We booked him for dinner three nights of our stay, and he and his assistant Nicole knocked it out of the park, with delicious and authentic local cuisine that rivaled any restaurant we went to. He worked hard to meet some unusual dietary needs and exceeded all expectations. Delightful. The northern-central coast location provides convenient access to Heraklion, Chania, and the lovely old town of Rethymno. Some of our friends did an e-bike tour from an outfitter who was just a short drive away. In short, we were exceedingly pleased! Our only caution is that sound carries easily in the house, due to its open layout and hard materials. If you like to retire early or sleep in, you may want to bring earplugs. Don’t hesitate to reserve this amazing villa. You will fully enjoy it, and you will be in great hands with ThinkVilla.

Beautiful villa in a beautiful village

Fantastic property. We were a family of 13 of all ages. Very spacious and clean. The outside area is perfect, the pool was great. A short 10 min walk to the local village which had many places to eat. Highly recommend this villa.

Stunning View, Calm vibes

A great place both to relax and as a base for exploring the island. The staff was responsive, the pool was clean and water temperature comfortable, the outdoor space was more than adequate for our group of 11, and 5 of the 6 rooms had patios. We could easily walk to town for food or drive to nearby beaches and trails. The place also hooked us up with a private chef, Costas, who not only produced two great meals but entertained us with stories. I would highly recommend this place!

Fabulous villa in top location

We were a group of 8 older, lifelong friends looking to (finally, post-Covid) celebrate a milestone. This villa offered everything we wanted - the beautiful outside space with infinity pool and sea views, private ensuites for all and a walkable location to a nearby town. The villa is immaculately kept, with nice touches like generous welcome amenities, and the management company were efficient, friendly and offered a great concierge service with recommendations for car hire, a hotel in Heraklion pre-arrival, and a personal chef - Chef Konstantinos Parasyris - for our celebration dinner at the villa, which was spectacular and highly recommended. He in turn pointed us to Kastros which is the best taverna in the small but lively little town of Panormos a short stroll away, where the Cretan hospitality was as abundant as the enchanting street cats. Don't hesitate to book this lovely villa. We hope to be back!

Just fantastic!

Villa was fantastic and I don’t think the pictures do it justice. We were 10 adults and used all 6 of the bedrooms - everyone was happy. Facilities, location and pool were ideal. And the staff could not have done more for us - Valia responded to advance questions within minutes usually; Dimitri was very quick to resolve the few minor teething problems; and Irene and the rest of the cleaning team were so friendly. Panormos is a lovely little town and if you are visiting in a group then I would totally recommend Thalassa Residence. I hope we can visit again next year!

Beautiful House in Panormo

My family and I stayed at this wonderful house in Panormo for 2 weeks earlier this month. There were 9 of us so this 6 bedroom villa was perfect. The villa is set apart from other houses and condos, so there was never a problem with loud noises emanating from surrounding areas. Communication with Valia before our arrival was excellent. In addition to working out arrangements with the villa, she was also able to assist us with transfers to and from the villa and rental cars, as well as tours and other excursions. She always responded promptly to our inquiries. Upon our arrival at the villa, we met with Dimitris, who showed us around and explained how everything worked. The villa is on 3 floors: the ground floor with a front entryway, kitchen, 2 king size bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms, and open dining room/living room combo. Both the kitchen and living room had sliding glass doors that allowed us to create a wonderful indoor outdoor space to enjoy. The breezes off the ocean were nice and cool and the sound of the surf crashing onto the rocks was a pleasant, relaxing sound. The basement contained a large game room with pool table, a dining room table, a large sectional couch situated in front of a wall mounted television, and a king bedroom with ensuite bathroom. The upper floor contained 3 more king bedrooms, all with ensuite bathrooms and balconies. All three floors were serviced by an elevator, which we put to good use in hauling our luggage. During our 2 week stay, there were some minor issues but they were dealt with promptly by communicating with Valia and Dimitris. We thought the full trash bags were to be placed in the garage and removed by the housekeepers but that never happened. After a week, we were forced to transport the trash to a local dumpster because of the malodor. Upon reporting this to Valia, it was explained that the trash was to be placed beside the front gate so the pool man could remove it. Also, the second time the housekeepers cleaned the house, the floors were not cleaned properly and used towels were left in the bathroom. Once I notified Valia of the issue, Dimitris immediately came to the villa and told us that he would have the housekeepers return the next day and do a more thorough job, which they did. He also brought us ice cream and a locally made phyllo pastry, which we really enjoyed. The only disappointment was we were unable to watch the British Open on TV. There are only a few english speaking channels.

Beautiful villa

This villa was a perfect place for our group of 6 friends. Apart from being absolutely beautiful, it was kept immaculately clean. The rooms are all excellent, as well as the bathrooms. Best of all, the property manager Dimitri and the cleaning crew were incredibly charming, helpful, had great recommendations and we felt like family by the end of the week. Valia was attentive to our every need. Like with every villa, there were a couple of hiccups but they were addressed immediately. It is convenient to walk to the town of Panormo with many restaurants and shops. Don't miss having dinner at George and Georgia's...a great restaurant. Kostas was excellent as well. We had the private chef come cook at the house and it was interesting and delicious. Thanks for a great time!

Fabulous!

Everything about this property was fabulous. From the moment we entered the property we knew we had made the right choice, it was simply spectacular! The villa is exactly as described but even better than the photos and everything worked to perfection. It's a very luxurious villa in a lovely traditional village with beach, bars, restaurants and mini markets within walking distance. The communication with Valia, prior to and during our stay was exceptional going above and beyond our expectations. Valia made many recommendations for car hire, restaurants and beach clubs and took care of our reservations. All were amazing! Five stars from us!

Incredible Villa - but with a few issues that needed resolved

This villa has the wow factor - from the moment you enter the door, the glass floors and stair case look amazing, the lift is an added touch of luxury (even plays music !) and the kitchen and living areas do not disappoint. Bedrooms are all superb and live up to the photos. Outside space is huge and overlooks the surrounding sea and hills. The pool is lovely and there is a huge hot tub. However, we cannot avoid pointing out the issues we faced and had to request to be fixed - the hot tub was not working, the infinity pool was not overflowing, outside lights were not working, two sunbeds broken, broken parasol, wasps nest under kids climbing frame, sun loungers stained and faded. Dimitri the handyman was great, and resolved these issues as quickly as he could. However, we had 5 days of various workmen at the villa while these were resolved. What is disappointing most is that these issues were there when we arrived, it should not have taken us to snag the villa and point them out, and have workmen all over the place for more than half our stay.

We have stayed in a lot of 5 star properties in the last 5 years. This property is the best house that we have stayed in. The cleaners were really lovely and couldn’t do enough to help you. Nothing was too much trouble for the manager and the cleaners. I would highly recommend this property to anyone.

Most amazing house!

Our party of 9 (4 adults, 5 adult children) spent a spectacular week at this house. This house is exactly what the pictures show. There is some natural landscape right below the pool - it isn't right on the water. You just have to appreciate the natural Crete landscape. (We didn't consider this a negative.) The house was so well equipped for us to make meals in the kitchen or on the grill. We all enjoyed the infinity pool to read, sunbathe, and play games as well as view the Mediterranean Sea/Sea of Crete. The pool decking was not hot to our feet even if the temperature was really high. We never felt crowded in the house because it was so spacious. We felt totally safe in the area and in the house. Beautiful sunrises as well as sunsets were visible from the pool deck. My only concern might be for very young children or elderly people because the stairs were marble and could be slippery. Some staples (such as coffee, milk, bread, sugar, fresh fruit, etc) were left for us. It was very nice! Closest large grocery was in Rethymnon (about 25 minutes to the west) and smaller markets in Perama. A two minute walk to the beautiful, rugged shore let us relax in some protected coves. We could easily walk to the Panomos village for shopping or meals. The town was built up enough to have both, but it isn't crowded nor overly touristy. We had 2 small issues (grill out of gas and hot water pump not working), but they were fixed so fast! The house manager was so attentive and nice. Recommended restaurants: Porto Parasiris and Captain's House Things to do: JoyRide.Bike (Panormos), Discovery Safaris - 4 wheelers/buggies in the back country (Rethymnon), Paraschakis olive oil tour (Meldoni area) It was a wonderful week in Crete!

We were a group of friends, including adults and children, staying in May 2018. The Villa is absolutely stunning, really comfortable beds, great location and such friendly helpful hosts. The whole place has been really well thought out. I would recommend this villa to anyone, we loved it.
