Great House For A BIg Family

We enjoyed the location of the home. It was close to the grocery store and restaurants. Great for a big family with the older kids on the bottom floor and parents up top. Nice pool and hot tub. Very close to the beach and the golf course is in your backyard.

Beautiful home, pool and close enough to fd lion to pick up last minute groceries. Could use some blinds in the dining/living room area. Pool chair plastic is getting worn out. Great stocked kitchen. Enough plates, bowls and silverware for our large party.

The house needs serious attention. Walls need painting, bathrooms need to have cracked toilet replace and were not clean at all. Pool area needs weeding and updating. Location was good , but property maintenance was terrible

We had a wonderful time staying in Nags Head NC. Our home was very nice and the pool was a splash! We had everything at our fingertips. The communication between us and the property owners was right on. They immediately fixed the ice maker and replaced our outdoor furniture when we told them they were broken. The only thing that I would suggest is to have available a blanket for each bed. It got a little cold at night and some of us did not have a blanket. Also, although the house was wonderful, it really needs a paint job inside. Other than that I would absolutely recommend this property.

It was a wonderful getaway. It wasn't very far to the beach and crossing the street was easy. It was right next door to food lion and outback steakhouse. We were short some towels, but that was rectified quckly and painlessly. The only negatives were that it appeared that the cleaning crew maybhave gotten interrupted in the middle (some rooms not swept) and some of the new towels didn't look clean. This is why I have them a 4 on cleanliness. We were able to sweep and it was only a couple of towels so it wasn't a detriment to our vacation.

Wonderful Stay at Shell Yeah!

We enjoyed our stay at Shell Yeah. Our family liked that it is off the main road and quiet. The house is very comfortable and clean. We also enjoyed the pool, hot tub, and game room. We would recommend this property to who want to be near the beach and attractions but not on the main road. Very nice! Great place to stay.

The house was absolutely beautiful and clean upon arrival. It’s located in a very convenient location to all attractions and the beach. The pool and hot tub were nicely prepped and ready for us as well. They even stopped by to check on those during our stay to help keep them cleaned and refreshed. The kitchen had more supplies than I’ve ever had in previous properties. Plenty of cookware and cups, bowls, utensils. My only concern was the water pressure in the showers. They were not good at all. For those with long and/or thick hair washing your hair is a challenge. The showers are nice but to utilize the water you have to stand against the ledge as far back as possible which also becomes a safety hazard. Otherwise we are very happy with our stay. Nags Head was a premium family vacation spot and we will be back for years to come.

Home is in a great location which was awesome. Having a 24/7 grocery store within walking distance was truly a life saver. Home is also located close to beach and Jeanettes pier. However, home is in desperate need of a fresh coat of paint. Also, home was missing several essentials, including; broom and dust pan and iron and iron board. Additionally, home looked like the cleaning crew rushed through the cleaning process as their was hair left on the bunk beds and drain in the upper master bedroom was full of hair and mattress in upper master felt like we were laying on sheet covered center blocks…the absolute hardest mattress I’ve ever laid on.

Great turnaround from previous reviews

We initially were horrified because we booked this stay before reading the reviews. After finally reading the reviews, we reached out to see if the issues notes in the previous reviews had been addressed and we were assured they were. Fortunately, they were correct, we arrived to a very clean and what appeared to be a well maintained property. There were a few minor issues such as the grill was a bit old and falling apart and the wifi range didn’t capture the entire home, but overall, we can truly say we had a great time and no real issues with the property. We would definitely book this property again.

Absolutely unacceptable

The only thing good I can say about this house is that it was probably nice once. The second we walked in we were disappointed with the overall condition of the home. There were holes in the wall that had been patched but not painted. Every surface of the wall up to 4 feet from the floor was filthy. There were spots on the walls and ceiling that we couldn't even figure out how marks had gotten on them. The fabric on the chairs were ripped to shreds. The floor was filthy. The shower heads were all moldy. There were drips on every counter and wall and door. There were dirty glasses and dishes in the cupboards. The garbage was overflowing outside right next to the entrance and had clearly not been taken out for days. This led to flies coming in every time we opened the door. There was one roll of toilet paper per bathroom so once of the bathrooms ran out and there was no extras in the bathroom. It was completely unacceptable.

Stay was from 8/8-8/13. We couldn't be more disappointed. Not only was the house filthy from what looks like neglect and the last house guests but we walked into the refrigerator pulled out and large allow dryers. The bathroom shower curtains had boogers and mold on them. Chips in the paint on the wall, dust filled the air vents and the windows were smudged. There was no hand soap or shower soap to speak of. There was a pile of dirt left with a broom. Housekeeping and maintance were called multiple times and I was told they would be out to clean and never showed. For the amount of money paid, our time there should have been clean, especially with covid. Was told after our checkout that there was nothing they could do since our stay was over.

Nice place but parking and kitchen floor needed a deep clean.

Rental process was great and offer of early access was nice but we unfortunately could not get down there early. We did ask for an hour extension on check-out but were told not possible but we understand.

What is the access code?

Then rental was wonderful! My complaint is on day of check in I never received my check in instructions and entry code from Kees Outerbanks. They would not answer the phone all day. Thank goodness VRBO did answer and worked it out so we received an email with the information as I was driving to the rental.

Very Decent Place to Stay

We loved our place, wish the beach wasn't as far of a walk but if your not a big beach person and don't want to go often it wouldn't be that bad. House was pretty clean - a few marks on the walls that I thought could have been easily wiped up with a magic eraser. Also, the bathrooms would have been nicer if they had floor matts - we had to put towels down. The sink also leaked while we were there so that was a pain. We called to make sure they had it fixed for the next person. Pool was perfect, kitchen was clean, beds were comfortable - very important. Other than that we loved it.

So much fun

Had a lot of fun staying at this house. Only down fall is the kitchen is on the top floor so I would advise people who have family members who have difficulty with stairs to not do this style home. But everything else was great, Kerrigan didn’t work on arrival and they brought a new one.

The beds should be updated to more softer, relaxing mattresses instead of feeling like hardwood floor and a schedule of when house keeping will come posted some where in house should be available as well, we had no idea when they were coming and when they did they just walked in to the house with out knocking first
