A+ location

The location of the house is incredible...right on the beach with private stair access. You are right next to the airport but it didn't bother us at all really. The home could certainly use some upkeep and better cleaning/maintenance, but the beach location made it so that we really enjoyed our stay

Madequecham is a wonderful place. Vacasa did a nice job getting the house clean and ready. The bedrooms are a little bit musty, but they got better with open windows and doors. The house is updated in some areas, but not all. The mattresses were really hard and not very comfortable.. It’s a very nice property, but not quite a five star

Incredible Nantucket Home!

Tough to beat this house on Nantucket! Essentially have a private beach and a house with an absolutely beautiful deck that wraps around the whole house. I would say the pictures don't do this place justice - it's even better inside. We would 100% stay again.

Perfect Location!!!

I loved that I had private access to a beautiful clean beach. We saw a single seal swim across our beach just before sunset every day. It was quiet and private. I loved the location. We had plenty of supplies for beach fun and the grill came in handy! I hope the owners will communicate with their cleaners, or hire a new service. If they do this will be a 10 out of 10.

Unbelievable Location!

Beautiful panoramic views of the ocean from nearly every room in the house. It’s a bit of a drive down a dirt road so getting a cab may be tricky, but took about 13 minutes to get to from town. Steps down to a beach with no one else around. House was clean and beds comfortable - would absolutely return.

Lovely home, private beach, had a great time. People should be aware that the airport is next to the property so there is noise from takeoff's & landings, fairly frequent, however it does not spoil the stay. Due to closeness of the beach the first floor was damp including the sheets and any clothing but you can use the dryer. A dehumidifier might help. Overall a great location and home.

The scenery was lovely but Vacasa’s service was poor and the home’s amenities were lacking

I booked through VRBO and Vacasa served as the property manager. Numerous things were wrong with this property. The master bed was stiff as the floor—I only slept on it 2 out of 5 nights. The other 3 nights I slept on the couch. The pillows were thin, misshapen, and all around terrible. Spiders and bugs were everywhere. They were stingy with toilet paper—so much so that I had to use silverfish-infested toilet paper when we ran out late at night the day before we checked out. Disgusting. The kitchen pantry reeked of mothballs; every time we opened the pantry door to access the trash or recycling we held our breath. But the worst was that we had no hot water for 3 days—2 full days after notifying Vacasa! The day we arrived, the water was warm so we thought the water heater temperature was turned too low. By the second day, all water was cold. I contacted Vacasa that afternoon. For 2 days, despite following up 4 times to the local number AND the chat on the main website, no one showed up to check the hot water heater. 36 hours before we left, someone from Vacasa finally reached out and had the local caretaker call us. He came out to the house shortly after calling and reset the hot water heater. The person from Vacasa who contacted us twice texted that Vacasa would make it right and compensate us for the issue. Not surprisingly, they’ve dropped the ball and gone dark again. Beware if you end up with a Vacasa rental—they do not take good care of their guests.
