“PERFECT”

“Excellent Japanese style breakfast, worth to try!”

“We arrived late and the staff were so helpful to guide us to restaurants near the train station that still open and within 10 minutes by walking. Hotel is very clean and new, located close to Nara Park. ”

“The room was clean not very spacious for two people. Great AC and access to a private bathing room. The breakfast was good and inexpensive. It was in a great location.”

“Superb character and excellent amenities in the room. I was only sorry I didn’t really feel like opening the sake provided. I didn’t realise that traditional Japanese breakfast came with the room and as this is not our thing at all, this was a bit awkward - I should have declined when asked what time we wanted breakfast but we went through with it out of a sense of politeness but did not each much which I think is worse so I apologise to the staff for any offense. They did ask our nationality as……

“The hotel is with walking distance from the train station, Nara Park and shops. Our room was nice and clean, bed linen was new . staff helped us lifted our luggage upstairs and downstairs And very friendly”

“This was absolutely one of the best stays I’ve ever had in Japan or any place else! The mom and daughter duo who run it are so sweet, helpful and genuine, the room was terrific, and breakfast delicious. The location is right where you want to be, within walking distance of lots of Nara sights and great food. I STRONGLY recommend staying at Matsumae Ryokan if at all possible.”

“traditional japanese hotel with japanese style room and shared bath pool. tiny but nice. very close to the main shopping streets of Nara and Nara train station (Kintetsu, not JR). easy to reach the most famous sightseeing spots of Nara too.”

“Comfortable host ! But we just stayed one night. Next time we will stay a few days.”
