someone was on the phone talking really loud at midnight. the front door wasnt locked at all throughout the night. the sink was clogged in the bathroom.

There were young men in a room. One was on the phone yelling at the top of his lungs at someone I guessed was his wife or girlfriend. Every other word was the F bomb. After 10-15 minutes I asked him to quiet down. People were going in and out the back way late at night, male and female. I was supposed to have my own bath, but it was just a shower, no toilet. I was not comfortable leaving my room to go down the hall. The front door was supposed to be locked, but it wasn't. It was an awful. I thought of reporting the activities to the police but didn't.

Northern Minnesota Hostel

A hostel-like experience right here in northern Minnesota! Quiet little town and easy access with the lock boxes made it very quick to get in and out. I met a couple other people in the shared spaces and got a quiet place to sleep.

Charming, Comfortable Place to Lay Your Head.

I don't have a lot of experience with hostels, so I wasn't sure what to expect. Self check-in. Located in downtown Nashwauk, it's very quiet at night. The common areas were nice. The room itself was small and very basic, but quite comfortable. The floor in the room probably could've used another sweep, but nothing major. The only major issue I had was I was unable to access the WiFi. The password was on the key fob, but it didn't work on any of the available networks. (And none of the networks looked like they belonged to the premises) Wizards about a block down the street has excellent food for reasonable prices. I would most definitely like to stay here again. I was very happy with my stay!

Reservation was moved to another address and not nearly resembling the room we reserved. During Covid there should be particular notice toward community areas. Dirty dishes(none of ours) sat in the sink for 2 days. Private bath was shower only. No sink or toilet. Security: exterior doors could not be locked legally per fire code so anyone could enter at any time.
