“This chalet in Grindelwald was a highlight of our trip. The home is beautifully appointed, quiet, and extremely comfortable. Private parking on site was a huge plus. While it’s not a quick walk into town, there’s a scenic trail that takes about 10–12 minutes down—but be prepared for a steep uphill walk back. “This place was so peaceful and amazing! Easy check in at the train station when you arrive, and about a 10 min walk mostly downhill (so uphill on the way back). “Overall had a fantastic stay. Location was second to none: on the lake, short drive from hikes, Interlaken, etc. Excellent communication with hosts. Only down side was the heat. 28C days with sun coming through the (lovely) patio windows turns the place into a sauna. The poor tiny air conditioner couldn't keep up and we couldn't close the patio blinds for 'safety reasons'. Loft far to hot to sleep so had to sleep on the couch. Would be a perfect stay if slightly cooler”

“Was so fun. Great comunication and amenities. Large beautiful windows and great views. Everything is close by. The only thing we had found is that the laundry is off site at a laundromat not in the building. The balconie were also cute and handy. We slept with the windows open and no bugs even in the middle of summer. ”

"Pros: located on Main Street of Interlaken, easy to walk everywhere. Spacious, modern rooms with AC that actually makes the rooms cool. Bright lights in the rest room. There is also a small terrace and partial view of mountains from the room.
Cons: Understaffed for two days - room wasn’t cleaned until 4-5 PM, only one person at the front desk, staff was super busy during breakfast. The day when we are about to leave, there is a new team of staff that is much more efficient and responsive. Breakfast selection is very limited compared to other hotels of similar grade. Tiny elevator due to the building being old.
Overall, the service could be better for the price of this hotel. "
