"The host was incredibly kind, always made sure I was stocked on the basics. I had to be in the area for work and there aren't a lot of hotel options in the area, so I feel like I lucked out with this one. The room was very clean, wifi worked great, and was very comfortable. there was a water kettle in room; AC/Heat; very clean bathroom; beautiful skylights and very comfortable bed. This trip we stayed at quite a few different hotels as we traveled through France, and I still think Hotel de la Porte Doree takes hotel service to a new level! Cleanliness, amazing staff, great beds and bathrooms and amazing amenities! Free coffee fruit, nuts at the reception. I honestly think the staff are one of the best. We enjoyed our stay very much and look forward to being back someday when we are in Paris!❤️❤️"

"So my wife and I came for one night for the Olympic opening ceremony 2024. All hotels had inflated their prices so I since it was one night I wasn't too concerned with the hotel. Just a safe place to sleep and be comfortable. We'd only sleep there and be gone. I had read other reviews, small room was expected. But it was clean, clean small bathroom.
