There's no delicate way to put this: when there are fresh-ish looking feces smears in the toilet, you don't feel a real vote of confidence on the cleanliness of the room. Then you notice the black moldy spots in the shower and bathroom walls, the towel in the hallway covering missing bits of the parquet flooring, a small rug doing the same next to the bed. It didn't *feel* disgusting, I have absolutely experienced worse--just didn't feel that clean and kept up. However--it was a great price for such an ideal location. Staff didn't give any suggestions on where to park--had to figure out for ourselves there was a free lot (down the other end of the beach but if you don't mind walking, it was free and easy).

Wonderful stay at Ribamar. The staff is extremely friendly and made our stay enjoyable! Especially Jose, who greated us with great kindness! The room was beautiful, very authentic and clean. We had a corner room on the second floor and enjoyed the beach view splendedly. We will be coming back to Ribamar and stay for longer!

Was really interesting staying here. Great looking building from the outside but the inside hasn't been upgraded/renovated in quite some time...40 years maybe!? Great location and the staff were super friendly.

The thoughtfulness of the staff was wonderful! I had forgotten that the reception area closed at 6. John called at four to remind me, and when I got lost a few blocks from the hotel, he guided me effortlessly. It is an older hotel, but clean, comfortable and welcoming. I couldn’t have been more pleased with my stay!
