Perfect Cottage for spending time in Virginia Wine Country

Awesome!

No issues at all! Loved this place! Drove to Shenandoah National Park to do day hikes on the Appalachian Trail each day. Beautiful area.

Great place for overflow family members at Christmas!

Two of our sons, each with two children, stayed here. It was the perfect setup, two bedrooms with king beds and a room with two bunk beds! The location was super convenient for joining us at our StoneyCreek home for meals and heading to the mountain for skiing and snow tubing. The property is very clean and updated. The hottub was a bonus!

Fantastic Spot

Rental process and check in was seamless. The hosts were fantastic communicators. The property is fantastically maintained, very clean, and provides all the amenities one could desire. The property location is exactly where you want to be to experience all the area has to offer. Convenient to golf, ski slopes, national forest, and a plethora of wineries and breweries. 10/10 would do agian.

Wonderful home

The home was beautiful and very clean. The best part of the home was the fact that it was in such a great location for the local brewers, distilleries etc. However the property exceeded our wants and needs. The owner stoked the home nicely and we never had to worry about little things like paper products, soaps etc. we enjoyed our girls weekend! We would definitely rent again!

This property is amazing. Location 10 Cleanliness 10 Communication 10 We were celebrating a milestone in a friends cancer remission journey (10 years) and felt so welcomed with a personalized gift and decorations. The details are always what matter! There was so much effort from the owners in making this experience special. This property was so nice, we really didn't want to leave with the accommodations and the back yard. When we did leave there was so much within walking distance or a short drive away. If you are looking for somewhere in the area, look no further, book now!!!!

Carter’s Cottage

My mother, brothers and their wives stayed here for the weekend to attend my daughter’s wedding. The simple ranch-style exterior is surpassed by the clean and well-appointed interior. There were seven of us and were accommodated very comfortably. The kitchen was spacious and was filled with everything you could ask for. We didn’t use the outside fireplace or grill due to rain but the patio is nice. I didn’t care much for the location on a busy highway but because of the lovely interior I would still recommend this place to friends.

Awesome getaway that is super clean, organized and well stocked.

The house was amazing! The owners do an awesome job communicating, organizing and stocking the house. Plenty of amenities both inside and out with outdoor games, gas grill and fire pit prepped with wood - ready to go. Probably the most well stocked and laid out house we've ever stayed. It is a great place in a great location too. Close to quite a few wineries, breweries and trails. Plus there is a grocery store and liquor store within walking distance. The wineries in Virginia are beautiful and a must see for wine aficionados. I was impressed at what they can do with the limited grape selections, and the mountain scenery and settings are simply awesome. Although we did not go to any breweries, there were several options in the area that always seemed packed. We definitely enjoyed our extended weekend trip.

The house was absolutely stunning. We had a girls weekend and went distillery hopping. We felt very secure, cozy, and had an amazing time. Loved the mattresses so much everyone that stayed wants to know what kind so they can have one at their own homes.

Fantastic location near everything. Fantastic kitchen, very well equipped with everything needed for a nice getaway. Beds were AMAZINGLY comfortable. Place was very clean. No sneaking to the kitchen in the middle of the night though to grab a glass of water without waking people up, the wood floors are very creaky. Considering the hefty cleaning fee, I was surprised by how many additional chores and cleaning tasks there were. Overall a nice place. Very well labeled.
