• About the Bridge Street Apartments:
A charming two-story New Orleans-style building with retail and hospitality spaces on the ground floor and a backpackers at the rear of the first floor. The building has undergone major renovations, bringing energy and vibrancy to this end of Bridge Street. Stay central, stylish, and comfortable - the perfect base for exploring Nelson City!
• Building Works - The downstairs level of the Bridge Street building is being redeveloped into trendy retail and co-working spaces. The work is almost complete with no construction for two weeks from Friday, 19 December 2025. Minor finishing touches, mainly painting, may occur in January 2026.
• Noise & Access - Street construction is expected to resume in mid-February during daytime hours only and may finish earlier if the weather is favourable. It won’t affect access to the apartment. Noise is minimal and double-glazed windows keep the apartment quiet and comfortable.
• Stairs - This apartment is located on the first floor of the building with stair only access.
• City parking - Available at $2/hr with a 3-hour parking limit with the first hour free. Fees apply weekdays from 8AM to 5PM and Saturdays from 9AM to 1PM. Parking is free outside and unrestricted outside of these times.
• Free all-day parking - In addition to the free parking periods in the city, free all-day parking is available at the CBD periphery.
**Payment, Bond/Security Deposit and Cancellation**:
• A 30% deposit secures your stay with the balance due 3 weeks prior to your arrival (full payment will be required if booking within 3 weeks of arrival).
• Three weeks prior to your arrival (or immediately if booking within 3 weeks of arrival), you’ll need to provide a card authority for the bond/security deposit via our secure online check in process.
• Cancel anytime up until 3 weeks prior to arrival for any reason and you’ll pay no more than 30% of the booking total.
• Where compassionate circumstances for cancellation exist, we’ll be happy to look at further flexibility, usually in the form of postponement of your stay, or a credit towards future stay dates.
