“I have stayed at Fernwood Manor for many years and the standards are always excellent. The staff are so helpful - nothing is too much trouble for them. Breakfast is legendary and always freshly cooked. The gardens are immaculate and the poll - devine. I cannot recommend it highly enough ! ”

“Oh how lovely to be in a creative environment and enjoy the lovely pottery pieces all over the property. It's a very relaxed atmosphere. We were so appreciative to be able to use the washing machine too. There are some lovely restaurants a 5 min walk away in Second Avenue. We will definitely be back next year on our return to Cape Town.”

“We stayed in the Kings Chamber, probably the coolest room I’ve ever stayed in. Views unbeatable, outdoor shower was liberating and the private treehouse and swing in the trees was the cherry on the cake. Don’t expect the service or facilities of a 5* hotel- this is a guest house (ex private residence, but feels like it’s plucked straight out of a movie). when the staff are around they are very attentive- they helped with our bags and cooked us whatever we liked for breakfast. “This was a great stay! I absolutely enjoyed my stay and will definitely stay here again when I’m back in town. The only thing to note, which I also mentioned to the property team, but they may consider adding an instruction list to the welcome packet on how to operate some of the appliances in the unit. I’d like to think I’m pretty tech savvy but I accidentally set off the smoke detector by boiling water - turns out I there was an air vent that I had no idea existed, that should have been turned……
