Comfortable getaway

First stay at White Wing

Cosy, welcoming historic house (built in the 1920s). Very comfortable beds and living room chairs/couch; more kitchen equipment than we have seen anywhere else, and all in good working order. Very easy walk to the beach with an “overlook” where you can park your beach chairs and gaze at the day, especially the sunsets!

A getaway of 3 long time friends

The house is very cozy and homey. It's well equipped with lots of pots and pans, good beds and bedding, and fabulous thick towels. The only drawbacks were a doorknob that came off the front door, a slow drain in the kitchen sink, and difficulty rehiding the key. I would recommend this place and think it was a wonderful little house.

beautiful location

Great, location! so close to the beach. one of the bedrooms heater didn't work so it got pretty chilly in there which was unfortunate. Also the outside deck areas are dilapidated. Definitely couldn't have the baby crawling around, chairs were kind of broken but nice to have a grill.

Cozy beach retreat

Loved how thoughtfully this sweet house is outfitted. Every guest need has been anticipated! From ample phone chargers to multiple coffee making systems. It is just steps to the beach which is wonderful. But first you must walk through very tall overgrown bushes that help to make the house a little dark inside. We found ourselves wanting to let more light in and couldn’t because of the heavy dark wood blinds. We very much enjoyed our stay, though.

Great location, but overpriced with odors

This is a great location with easy access to the beach and the layout of the house works really well for 2 families. But the smell of pet urine was overwhelming to us so we had to open the windows, which had no screens on them and therefor let bugs in. We would have been much more forgiving of some things, but we paid a lot for this house expect our money worth. There were also dishes in the cupboards that we needed to wash before using. Overall we made it work, but we will be looking for something else next year.

Musty smell

This is an older funky little house - which is fine, I can deal with extension cords and limited counter space. However, the musty, dirty carpet mildewy smell was very bad in the bedrooms. The smell was so pungent, it was hard to sleep. And when you opened the windows to try to air out the smell, there were no screens on the windows… so I got bit by bugs while sleeping. The bathroom has been updated and is decent. Kitchen has plenty of dishes, pots, and pans. BBQ is nice. Too bad the fence blocks the ocean view. Only a short walk to the sloped beach path so I didn’t have to use the rock breakwater steep steps.

Cute Cottage

It’s a sweet little house. Well stocked with everything you need. Beds and bedding are really comfortable. The bathroom towels are great and a large supply as well as soap, shampoo and conditioners. It was clean in some ways but we think it’s really needs a good DEEP cleaning; carpeting needs to profession cleaned as well as living room rug and rug right inside the back door. All of the window levelers are very dusty and windows really need to be cleaned inside and out. The 3 plants are dry as a rock and very dusty. I did give them some water but two of them should be tossed. I washed and dried all the towels we used except for a couple of them. The inside edges inside the washing has a lot of dirt around it. I cleaned some of it but couldn’t get all of them out. We really like the house and the layout and comfort is perfect for us. It’s just needs to have a deep cleaning done. We’d like to stay there again but not sure just because it doesn’t seem to be cleaned well.

I love the location

The house was clean and smelled good. Heating was in the bedroom and was enough to heat the house. This house had everything. The coffee pot needs replacing as it didn't make a full pot and leaked some. There was another one with pods that I didn't use. Right out the backdoor is a small trail to the beach. Like one house down. It was completely amazing. Love this house. Love the location. Not far at all to proposal rock.

Relaxing

There for a wedding weekend and had a comfortable time. Needed to do some grilling and make some cornbread for a Friday night dinner... the kitchen was well stocked with mixing bowls and measuring cups. The grill was clean with plenty of propane. Large grill too. A clean house wih comfortable beds and plenty of towels. Excellent access to the beach. Walked everywhere once we got there. No need for your car. The little store there had everything you forgot to bring. The restaurant and bistro were great too! This is a great booking.

Great Location

This house is literally one house away from the beach. The path to the beach is right by the house! Closer than I thought. The furnishings are cool, with some antique pieces. If fully occupied, the house would probably be a little small and crowded, but as we were only using one of the bedrooms, we had plenty of space. Enough cookware to prepare meals.

Overall a great place.

Kitchen is the best stocked I have ever seen. Laundry and bath are well supplied. Place was very clean and ready on time. Location is very good. Kitchen had some ants but staff responded and dropped off some ant traps. Place does need screens on the windows especially for summer use. But I would like to be able to let the sound of the ocean in too weather permitting. Bathtub needs a mat that can be placed in when in use as a safety issue. I will definitely stay here again. Happy I can bring my dog.

Great little beach getaway

This was a great spot for our family spring break getaway to the coast. It's not terribly busy and the beach is so close. The cabin is very cute on the insnd equipped with everything you need.
