Neskowin Escape
really enjoyed this quaint little Nace cottage. Perfect for our little short trip down to the beach. Would definitely stay there again.
The location is very nice. Neskowin is a cute area. I was a little disappointed that the carpet smelled a bit like pet urine. However, the property manager was easy to communicate with and I am sure it has been remedied.
The house is ready. We didn’t bring dogs. And the house has a dog smell so be ready for a dog smell.

2nd hole at Neskowin
Easy walking distance to the beach. On the golf course but the course wasn’t open. Third bedroom is detached from the main house. Big living room. Quiet neighborhood.
This was a great place!
Quiet, clean, with quick easy beach access. Spacious great room, very chef-friendly kitchen, fantastic wrap around deck. Laundry machines came in handy.
Thank you for this getaway!
Stayed here in 2017 and again this year, both times the house has felt extremely cozy, like visiting a relatives place,
I’d say the shower curtain needs to be replaced as it gets caught and is frustraiting to use and maybe some sort of curtain for the window in the shower, the beds are pretty old frames and not the most comfortable, a lot of the outlets won’t hold the items plugged into them and a lot of the lights don’t reach a plug,
Besides those small things we had a great time! Saw a bear!

Avoid this place
Pictures of this online are not current. Place is in desrepair, is infested with black widow spiders, is dirty, and SMELLS terrible.
We cut our vacation short by two days to get out of here.
I have yet to hear from Vacasa about my concerns despite calling the 800 number twice. The local office called me and the local rep was not at all sympathetic or concerned about my concerns. I sent her pictures of pet stains, spider nests and was offered a discount of $75. The cost of this rental was over $1400 including fees.
I hope to hear back from Vacasa. At this point, I would avoid their company due to very poor customer service.
As a light sleeper, It was difficult to sleep. I found it easier to sleep on the sofa. Less wind noise and the heater noise was not as loud. The wind was beating in fro. The SW and it really sounds throught the single pane windows in the bedroom.
My child loved it. Dominos were her item of choice. But there were not otherwise games for all ages. We brought our own.
For having a fully stocked kitchen, it was odd to not have salt/pepper or cooking oil or bottle openers. I went to the store and got what we needed. I forgot the leftover pizza in the fridge. Bummer for us.
Absolutely zero food or spice products, and no bottle openers. Dont forget them if youre not one to buy a second of all these things.
The laundry was very helpful. It was stormy when we were there and the washer and dryer came in handy.
We had three bodies, and im glad my child brought her own towel because there were not enough for each person to have one towel.
I would stay again. I loved the outdoor space. Short walk to the beach.
The keycode door locks you out. It only opens from the inside if you dont put the kay in each time. I got bags from the car and locked myself out. My small child eventually let me in. Be sure to unlock the side door for yourself if youre going in and out.
The deck and living/dining room makes this place, as does the location close to the village store and beach. The stand-alone bedroom was musty and needed aired out. There are ants in the kitchen. The fans in both bathrooms need to be cleaned out. All around, though, we really enjoyed our stay.

We love Second Tee
This is such a comfortable, livable home! Easy walk to the beach, nice trail along the wildlife refuge, fun to stroll around this charming little town of well loved homes. We always come in the winter or early spring to enjoy the golf course as a wetland, with the sweet song of red wing blackbirds, frogs, geese. The kitchen is well appointed, the beds are comfy.
This is a small simple cabin that had all the basics. We loved the charm of Neskowin and location to the beach and a nice restaurant. Furniture is kind of worn and a bit uncomfortable. The carpet was a problem most likely due to it being a pet friendly rental. The house smelled musty and of strong dog order. May be to time for a shampoo or vinyl flooring?

Great location; Could have had better amenities
The house was very clean, open living room (could use more lamps for evening), nice big table, beautiful decking. Beds were comfortable. Furnishings are entertaining. Beware of the two blue chairs in the living room. If you lean over to get something, they will tip over on top of you (ask me how I know!). Be sure and use the bungee cords to secure the garbage cans. We learned the hard way there is a resident bear who came and dumped the fishy garbage all over the street. There is no dustpan in the house; picking up garbage by hand is not a happy experience. The kitchen amenities are very strange: 8 frying pans but no rubber spatula. Three vegetable peelers but no dustpan. Tiny dishwasher, but it works. Garbage disposal did not, which wasn't a big deal, but the sink plugs up on that side. This is the first vacation rental I've ever stayed in that didn't have a little welcome packet with special instructions. I texted two different numbers before I found someone to answer a few simple questions. There is a lock box on the extra bedroom door; it doesn't work. The one that works is on the entrance door. We thought perhaps there were two keys, but the one key unlocks both of the doors. There is no vacuum so don't plan on picking up the sand grit. We were there 8 days, and it would have been nice to run a vacuum over the carpet once or twice with two dogs and a five year old. The neighborhood is very quiet, and the beach is an easy walk of less than two blocks. Beautiful beach that is not crowded. We had a wonderful time, but did have to bring in supplies that have been included in other rentals I've stayed at. There was one garbage bag for the kitchen--had to buy more. Only 4 toilet paper rolls were provided. There were 5 of us for 8 days--had to buy more. None of these things were huge problems, but for the price, I expected the house to be a bit better supplied.
If you like thriftshop janky furniture you will feel right at home.
I had read a recent negative review right before arrival so I was prepared for a less than stellar experience. This rental is a real mixed bag. Great location, decent size, some obvious upgrades in the bathroom vs the sorriest ancient collection of living/dining room worn furnishings, and a mouse feces infestation on the aging deck. Such a neglected property, ie crank open the windows and the rusted hinges are about to fall off. The property manager was great, he came right over when I called for help with the not working microwave (apparently it goes on the blink with the frequent power outages and you have to figure out the reset). When I pointed out the mildewed shower curtain he replaced it on the spot. The sticky note saying don’t use the garbage disposal received a shrug. However, we just laughed it off and enjoyed being there with our dog. It is surprisingly private and the light coming thru the many (unwashed ) windows was delightful...

Crafting Retreat
It was a nice sized house and perfect for what we wanted, but for the amount we paid for it and all the cleaning fees I would expect to be a little cleaner, it was dusty and the kitchen drawers were a bit dirty, no blinds on the doors or kitchen windows which freaked us out a bit at night.
Some of the base boards were dusty and muddy also.
The house was the perfect space for our extended family, my husband and I and our daughter's family. The separate bedroom allowed my husband to sleep in past the early risers. This will be our new home away from home.

Cozy house!
Although dated, the house is cute and unique. Large yard and deck provide for fun family times. Third bedroom is a bit inconvenient at night, but does provide privacy. Living room/ dining room are spacious. Beach access is three easy blocks away.

Liked: Cleanliness
Disliked: Property conditions & facilities, communication
The wooded setting was positive. Some of the buildings needed replacement of rotted shakes. Vacasa gave us incorrect information about which lock box contained the key for our cabin. TV remotes didn't work. We called Vacasa and one of their very helpful and capable Housekeeping representatives drove from over 10 miles away only to find the correct remote tucked under a chair cushion.

Not in renting shape.
We were not comfortable staying in this place. Needs massive improvements. Dirty odor, black mold in shower, broken furniture and dingy bedding, mattresses, and towels. Feels neglected, dingy, and old. We almost left early but stuck it out because we paid so much.
It’s like staying in your favorite aunts home. Well equipped kitchen and comfy furniture that is slightly care-worn. Corner windows flood the home with sunlight, and the decks extend the living space when the sun shines. It was very clean when we arrived. The door from the kitchen to the back deck would not open because of the refrigerator, which was a bit inconvenient. A spare tank of gas for the grill would be handy. But we really enjoyed our stay and would book it again. Being spring the golf course across the street was flooded, so we were treated to a nightly amphibian symphony, with duck & geese interlude, underscored by the sound of waves. It was delightful. If you’re looking for posh this isn’t it. But if you are looking for homey, peaceful & relaxing - bookem Danno!
