Cozy beach oasis

We loved our recent stay. The natural light on the property was very inviting. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful. It was so wonderful having private beach access. There were only a handful of people there each day and the water was absolutely beautiful.

The Songbird was a beautiful home located in a woody area close to the beach. Nicely appointed with bright open air feel. Easy walk to the beach. Loved everything about the house. Would stay again.

My family had a blast spending time at the songbird with grandparents. The beach location was easy for my toddlers to handle with the considerate wagon available for our use. Will be coming back!

Amazing Property

The property was excellent. Well equipped kitchen, toiletries, and beautiful views. So much to do in the area, we enjoyed hiking, the beaches, shopping and some great restaurants nearby. The area has a lovely wine trail. The communication was excellent with simple check in/out procedures. We look forward to returning soon!

Perfect Beach Cottage

We were able to enjoy a nice walk to the community's private beach to dip our toes in Lake Michigan, lounge in Adirondack chairs encircling the fire pit in our own side yard, grill pork tenderloin on the back deck off the dining room, and sleep deeply in very comfortable beds - a peaceful, relaxing getaway. Wouldn't change a thing.

Wedding weekend

We spent three days on this beautiful, bright home set in a pretty neighborhood steps from Lake Michigan. Wonderful kitchen with awesome appliances and plenty of seating. Easy light fireplace and a TV in every bedroom. Minutes from downtown and 12 minutes from Golf. In warmer months, we could see using the fire pit and outdoor seating.

Perfection

My group of college girlfriends - we live all over the country/world. And we get together every 1st weekend in June - who ever can make it that year. We are each other’s home but our day to day lives keep us very busy. We live for these weekends. The Songbird is out of a Nora Ephron movie. We spent most of our time talking on the screened in porch, interrupted only by sleep, meals, and walks on the gorg beach. The Midwesterner’s of the bunch will def return with our families. Highly recommend.

Great house & location

My family just finished a stay at this house and enjoyed it. It’s a short one block walk to the trail leading to the stairs down to the beach. Because it’s a private beach it’s very quiet and relaxing with no crowds to contend with. The house was nicely updated with thoughtful touches throughout. We especially enjoyed the screened patio. Only issue during our stay was the lack of a bunk bed in the loft which was included in the listing. Ultimately the number of beds was sufficient for sleeping 8, not sleeping 10 guests as this listing indicated. We used a blowup mattress for our 9th & 10th guests. Otherwise this is a great property in a great location!
