Great location

The beautiful views from this property made it easy to relax. We only stayed a few days, but will definitely come back for longer next time.

Lakeside fun for all

We just concluded a memory-making week at Candlewood Lake and are already looking forward to planning our next visit! Greg was a very friendly, responsive and all around wonderful host. Even the neighbors made us feel at home!! A well-deserved 5 Stars!!

Great property but needs attention

The location is a 10 out of 10. The property is excellent but has been ignored. The dock was in complete disrepair. There were many little things about the house that needed repair. Doors sticking, airconditioner not on when we arrived. House was 82 degrees. railings on porch were loose. Dead bugs in the house everywhere. no hand soap in bathrooms. Cobwebs everywhere to just name a few. If the owner went through it and fixed the little things, this place could be a 10 out of 10.

Beautiful Lake Escape

Beautiful location. The property was very comfortable for our family of six. Sleeping: The mattresses were comfortable on all beds, and linens were next to new. The bunk beds were doubles (not the traditional twins) and they had a trundle underneath that was a twin. This a great size for teenagers in our case. The pull out couch in the basement is not quite full size, so the night we needed the extra bed, my 17 year old son slept on it diagonally. Not a negative, just an FYI to plan. Location: Quiet neighborhood. It is about a 8-9 minute drive from a grocery store if you need anything. My kids enjoyed a local ice cream shop about a five minute drive from the house. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful, with the only exception of lawn maintenance one morning, so if you are doing a one day rental, you may want to inquire on which day that lands. Shared parking/driveway but never an issue. Water access: It has docking space for a boat and the dock is sturdy and has an easy approach. You will need your own buoys and rope. You can’t see the bottom (water wasn’t clear) and was relatively shallow - we could touch - so I would discourage any diving. Amenities: Outdoor/Beach towels were provided which was a nice surprise. There are some books to borrow on the shelf. Basic appliances included, but we needed to bring everything else right down to the salt and pepper and bars of soap (not a negative on the VRBO, but just an FYI for guests to help plan as some rentals have more amenities than others.) Favorite Part: the outdoor deck was spacious and perfect for meals and nighttime games and stargazing. Management: very accommodating and easy to communicate with the property manager. Thanks Greg!
