A very unique Inn that whisks you back to Victorian times in Scotland. The inn is located only a block away from the waterfront with its museum, eateries and the history of the first Scottish peoples landing in Nova Scotia. Sandy and Cathy are wonderful hosts. The bed was wonderfully comfortable. If you are looking for a place to stay that is a little different in a nice way, The Scotsman Inn is the place to stay

Very beautiful and well restored historical property. Sandy and Cathy are the proprietors and were gracious, friendly, and helpful. The breakfast in the dining room is a great experience and the second story deck is very comfortable.

A lovely Charming home with lots of character. The history is well explained by the hosts. The bed was comfortable and the room was well laid out with lovely amenities. It is stairs only so do be prepared for that. Lovely continental breakfast served in the morning

Lovely, beautifully furnished historic inn the perfect location! The white tablecloth and china breakfast was a special treat. On the downside, Our cozy room on the top floor was a bit too small, the hallways a bit too cluttered with no comfortable gathering spaces.

Very well maintained small hotel in Pictou. Old charm of Scotland. Nice room with very confortable King bed. Sandy, the innkeeper, is very knowledgeable and part of the Scottish charm. The breakfast was good in a very nice dining room. Definitely recommend.

We stayed 2 nights at the Scotsman. Sandy and Kathy, the hosts, were most welcoming and helpful. The room was impeccably clean. The room decor showed there was time and thought put into the furnishings. The breakfast was great, served by Sandy, a true kilted Scotsman.
