The house was great! It is an older house so it has some quirks. We loved spending time on the deck. The private beach was very rocky, but the kids still enjoyed the water. The public beach is a short walk/drive down the street too. We would definitely stay here again.

Family getaway

The house was great! Beautiful ocean front property with beachy vibes all throughout the neighborhood and interior of the home. The host was extremely clear on directions and provided amazing instructions. Very comfortable stay!

Massive Deck with Great Views

Overall we had a great time at the house! We spent most of our time on the massive deck overlooking the ocean. The private beach was much rockier / covered in shells than expected, probably due to recent weather, but the public beach is a very short walk away which was great! The house was clean and the kitchen was well-stocked and we appreciated having the K-Cups for coffee in the morning. Also appreciated the pack n play and baby gates that were supplied! We were a little disappointed in the size of the bedrooms / layout. The rooms upstairs converge on a VERY narrow landing which was stressful with toddlers, and then 2 of the bedrooms are actually connected by the small bathroom, which wasn't super clear in the photos. So whoever is staying in the large front bedroom would have to either use the bathroom downstairs or go through one of the other upstairs bedroom to use the bathroom. Not a deal breaker but we just weren't aware. The air conditioning is not really central, we weren't able to feel any cool air coming through upstairs and the front bedroom has no window unit - just a fan. So it was unfortunate that the room with the best view was the hottest to sleep in. We still had a great time and enjoyed our stay but there are a few things that I think can be made more clear in the listing and and I think an air conditioning unit in the front bedroom is needed.

Hidden Gem!

Great little spot for a family! Private beach, quiet, everything you need for a beach getaway. Close to places to walk espeically with little ones! We will be back for sure!

Amazing beach house

We had a beautiful time . Kids didn’t wanted to leave. Amazing views from house , mostly just hung out by the water, watched the birds, and enjoyed the amazing views of the sky. We will be definitely back.

Charming house right on the water; super clean and very comfortable!

The house met our needs perfectly! Close to the Yale campus (for a busy graduation weekend) but a world away in spirit. A calm, delightful respite from the busyness of the campus.

Great kitchen for family who likes to cook

Well equipped with pans, knives and plates. We had a lovely Thanksgiving and enjoyed waking to the sound of waves on the shore.

Super clean and comfortable!

We are so pleased we chose to stay here! The cottage is absolutely adorable and a great location! The place is super clean and comfortable! We felt like we were home. This is one of the best stays we have ever had (and we are very picky!). Thank you Daniel for making this an amazing experience! Plenty of space with a great private beach

Sadly it rained the entire weekend we were there, but the house had plenty of space for the 7 of us to enjoy being inside. The living room had a lot of space, couch could fit all of us, same with the dining table. The kitchen was very well equipped (a lot more than I expected!), and the grill was also great. The house was very clean in general. Only downside I would say is that the rooms were on the smaller side, and outlets were limited in them. The shades in the rooms were also not ideal and would let a lot of light in, eye masks recommended! Overall, it was a great stay, even if we had to stay inside (it speaks of the house that we were able to spend an entire weekend inside without going crazy).

Family Beach 2021

Overall experience was very good. The house is fully stocked with supplies for your convenience. The deck is amazing and the views are great. This is ideal for a family with young kids that would play in the bay or if you’re into kayaking, jet skiing the bay is great. If you like taking long walks on the beach this is not the beach for you. I’d recommend only using as a 3 bedroom the first floor bedroom is just a bed in a room. Nowhere to put clothes suitcases etc. though the bedrooms upstairs are much better. To be clear I really enjoyed my stay it’s just that I believe reviews should help people plan their trip and there’s some info that you don’t quite get from the listing.

Amazing Holiday Getaway

My stay at this home was exactly what I needed—a relaxing holiday getaway in easy driving distance from my loved ones. I live in a small condo in NYC and this spacious home with breathtaking views allowed for some much-needed R&R, after being cooped up in in quarantine for almost a year. They even let me bring my cat so it could truly feel like home. The house is fully stocked, close to any sort of food or amenities you need, and you basically feel like you're floating on the water from any of the home's views. The master bed was a dream! It was so comfortable that I may have to find out where they got it. I hope to come back and stay again!
