「This motel was rated exceptional. What? Clean but shabby rooms. I asked the desk clerk if there was a restaurant in the area besides Hardee’s. He said that was it. A quick Google search showed he was lying or misinformed. The next morning, at 9:15, he ignored the “Do Not Disturb” sign to tell me something incoherent about wanting to shut down the motel by 10, even though checkout was at 11. 「It was a neat bare bones cabin. Had our 3 dogs with us and the yard was convenient. It had rained rained quite a bit before we arrived so we couldn't be to adventurous as we would have liked. Nice area with the lake near.」

「We arrived at the proprty and walked up to the porch to ring the doorbell. The property was overrun with dead plants and was very un kempt. The steps were hard to negotiate for my wife and I. There were pots of dead plants on every step. There was a cat tower next to the front door, and there was feces smeared on it right at eye level.
