Overall the unit itself was very nice. It was clean and generally comfortable. Three bedrooms with comfortable king beds. Kitchen was adequate for our needs, we didn’t attempt to cook a meal at all though. A small charcuterie board in the refrigerator was a nice touch. The most significant drawback was the street side bedroom, which feels like the master as it has the nicest bathroom, is bright and noisy overnight. Street noise is unavoidable in the city but in this case it didn’t seem dampened at all. Additionally the blinds are ill fitted allowing so much light into the room we resorted to sleeping with t-shirts and pillows over our faces. One of the blinds was placed several inches down from the ceiling/ top of the window, so it wasn’t even possible to close it off. Decent rest on vacation is important. The other issue is the garage. It is listed as separate, so understand property management has little authority -but renters should be aware of the set up. It’s underneath the property. It is expensive, but not more than often pay for a big city hotel parking. Drivers beware though that the elevators don’t work in the garage and the stairwell is horrific. There was human feces, soiled clothing, terrible odor. Again big city, but at least other places are attempting to keep clean. We just had to walk the spiral drive path when we needed to go for the car. That might be an issue for some, especially in NOLA temps.
