Disappointing. Prior to arriving, the hotel offered an upgrade, which we agreed to and the hotel confirmed. When we arrived we were brought to a lower-grade room. We called the desk and explained the issue and they said they were putting us on hold but they hung up, then when we called back they put us on hold again and hung up after a few minutes, then on our third call just kept us on hold for several minutes. So we went to the front desk and explained our confusion. The person at the front desk responded with annoyance, until they checked their notes and saw the upgrade. They then told us that the upgrade room had an issue and they couldn’t move us. So we returned to the room, which backed up against the Vietnamese cafe next door.
Starting before 6 am the staff started moving boxes and shoveling ice outside our window, so we couldn’t sleep. Our friend in the room next store was disturbed by the same activity. Neither they nor we can recommend this hotel.
