Summary:
Envelop yourself in the sights and sounds of New Orleans as you recline on a wrought-iron balcony in the heart of the Marigny Triangle. Be a part of history renewed in this recently renovated building, originally constructed in 1849. This eighth ward gem is conveniently located around the corner from Frenchmen Street and three blocks from the French Quarter.

The Space:
The apartment boasts a light and open space with a cozy living room, dining area, and modern kitchen. This unique building’s history is exhibited in each unit: exposed brick walls and heart-pine floors are juxtaposed to modern touches, such as our crystal chandelier and custom wood countertops. Tall French doors wrap around the wall of this unit, allowing the perfect amount of light to accentuate this spacious interior.

Enhance your morning or evening by enjoying your cup of coffee, glass of wine, or cocktail (invented in New Orleans) out on the beautiful wrap-around corner balcony. Nestle yourself on this perch as you take in the atmospheric delights of one of the nation’s oldest and most beloved cities.

An iron gate and key-pad controlled door ensure that entry into the building is safe and secure. As you enter the building, the grand entry staircase will lead you to this second-floor apartment.

The building is conveniently located in the walkable Faubourg Marigny neighborhood. In addition to the close proximity of Frenchman Street and the French Quarter, enjoy the many cafes, bakeries, music venues, and restaurants merely steps away from your stay.

Solo adventurer? Traveling as a couple or family? In town on business? No matter how or with whom you travel, this is the perfect space for you and your guests.

Need space for additional guests? One additional 2-bedroom unit on the second floor or the penthouse on the third floor are available for rental. Additionally, a dining venue is available on the ground floor. Please inquire!

Apartment Layout:

Bedrooms: There are two spacious rooms: one master and one guest. Both rooms have en-suite bathrooms. Additionally, should your group require it, there is one queen-size air mattress available for your use.

Bed & Bath Amenities: Closet space with hangers, plush towels, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand soap, and hairdryer are all provided for your convenience. Paper towels, toilet paper and dishwasher detergent are provided as well.

Kitchen: Enjoy the full-size kitchen with all new modern stainless steel appliances and custom wood countertops. This kitchen is equipped with a five-burner stove, oven, microwave, refrigerator with freezer and automatic ice maker, dishwasher, drip coffee maker, Keurig coffee maker. Ample cookware and dinnerware (including pots, pans, dishes, baking ware, wine glasses, coffee cups, utensils etc) are provided. Coffee and tea are also available.

Laundry: Both a washer and dryer are available in the apartment. Detergent pods are available for your convenience.

Groceries & Additional Supplies: Should you have any additional needs, Robert’s Grocery (pronounced roh-bears) is located within walking distance to the building. Additionally, Esplanade Mini-Mart is just two blocks away.

An initial supply of coffee, tea, toilet paper, paper towels, and detergent pods is provided. Additional supply beyond the initial set will be left up to the guest to acquire.

Guest Access:
This unit is on the second level walk-up. A unique gate code and door code will be provided upon the day of arrival. We offer luggage storage in the foyer before check-in or after check-out for your convenience.

The Neighborhood:
The Marigny is one of the most unique neighborhoods in New Orleans. Bordering the French Quarter, it is an area with classic architecture and its location allows you easy access to the French Quarter, CBD, The Bywater, Bayou St. John and City Park. Frenchmen Street is just steps away - close enough to walk within 5 minutes, far enough to offer you a quiet night's sleep. Washington Park Square is located on the corner and is great for people watching, picnics or playtime for the kiddos.

The neighborhood boasts a great variety of bars, restaurants and local boutiques. Some of the great restaurants, The Ruby Slipper Cafe, Barrilleaux's Restaurant and Wine Bar, Ayu Bakery, Adolfo's, Port of Call, Three Muses and many, many more are all within walking distance of this location. We have plenty of recommendations and love to share our favorite spots. Don't hesitate to ask!

Getting Around:
If you're not driving, the best way to get to the apartment is by using Uber/Lyft. Most everything is accessible by foot from this property, however should you going any greater distance, we recommend using Uber/Lyft to get around. You can rent NOLA Blue Bikes from any Blue Bike station (closest is Frenchmen and Dauphine); Alex's Bike Shop or Bicycle Michaels are very close by too. The closest streetcar is located on the Riverfront. Please don't hesitate to message us for assistance.

Other Things to Note:
Per New Orleans City requirements, this home contains a decibel monitoring device. The device is located in a common area and not in any bedroom or bathroom.

Need space for additional guests? One additional 2-bedroom unit on the second floor or the penthouse on the third floor are available for rental. Additionally, a dining venue is available on the ground floor. Please inquire!

We do not host locals, you must contact us before booking if you are from New Orleans or surrounding area. We allow no gatherings or parties. Strictly quiet time after 10PM. We do not allow pets. No smoking anything, including marijuana, inside the home; $200 smoking fee will apply to violators. Checkout time is 10AM; late checkout fees may apply.

The Burgundy House is fabulous! Clean, spacious and beautiful! The beds are so comfortable, they provide shampoo/conditioner/body wash via wall dispensers in the shower. The hosts are welcoming, helpful and responsive. Located within just a short walking distance from the French Quarter. Right across the street is a great restaurant and around the corner is a bakery/coffee shop. We will be back!

Perfect Location

This is our second time staying at this location. Quiet neighborhood. Center point to Frenchman, Royal, Bourbon St and more. Great balcony, great place. Host are very responsive.
