The hotel was quiet during the one night I stayed there. The suite was quaint but perfect for my solo stay. The building is “historic” as are most of the buildings in this area, and the staff was friendly and helpful. The hotel also offered free breakfast which consisted of grab and go options like fruit, muffins, tea and coffee.

Stayed here prior to Labor Day. I enjoyed walking about, sight-seeing, and dining out. The room had a separate living area complete with a turntable and records. There was a little bar complete with microwave and mini-fridge. Also a bar sink that came in handy. The bedroom was so quiet at night. There wasn't a view but the quiet was so nice and the bed so comfy. The front desk was so helpful.I would stay here again.

The room was nice and spacious! It held our party of 6. It was perfect. Although, room service never came by the 3 full days that we were there. Unsure if that was something we had to request or not. But would recommend!

I honestly loved this place, with the exception that the free breakfast was mediocre at best - the first day we stayed, the eggs were okay, but after that they were inedible. The other items were okay, the breads were sometimes stale. I don't know if that would be different in the busy season, when things are being refreshed more often. Other than that, everything was great and it's in a perfect spot for what we needed, so we will happily stay there again and just plan to eat breakfast at the crepe place around the corner instead.

I had a single room on the 2nd floor. The room has great except that the shower water was not hot. Each time I took a shower. The water was lukewarm or cold. Other than that, I think the hotel is great! The room and property was clean. The room comes with a fridge and I think a microwave. There was also a sink, in the living room/ entrance way, as soon as you walk in your room. Walking distance(2 1/2) blocks from the convention center, and Starbucks and maybe 3-4 blocks from the outlet mall which is right by the river. I did walk from the hotel to the start of french quarter (10min/15min walk). It’s do able. Overall I would book this hotel again

The Guest Services were amazing. The front desk team very helpful. I think they were my favorite part of the hotel. I definitely recommend.

Overall a great stay. Some suggestions: 1)some type of hangers for towels near shower 2)more secured microwave (slipped off refrigerator when trying to open door) 3)more bar hours throughout week 4)more coffee for room (ask for regular and they were out)

The welcoming staff were courteous. The hotel breakfast was tasty and plentiful. The French Quarter was in walking distance. The hotel room was apartment size and wonderful. I would stay at the Mercantile again and recommend others as well. Great stay!!
