「What a wonderful place. The staff is absolute angels, they are very hospitable and accommodating, they go above and beyond to ensure everyone enjoys their stay and feels like home. Nice and clean room (we stayed in the Deluxe room)
The food is REALLY good if you like the lokal cuisine, you have to try It!!
Only minus was a lack of other guests, due to the covid situation😕 More People would make the athmosphere here even better😊」

「Via een landweggetje kom je op een plek met een prachtige tuin en een groot huis. De ontvangst door Kumare is hartelijk. Het huis heeft zeer ruime kamers en goede algemene ruimtes, zoals een zitkamer/ eetkamer en mooie veranda’s. Authentiek ingericht. Je kunt ontbijt en diner bestellen, heerlijke bbq, koffie volop etc. Prijs kwaliteit verhouding is zeer goed. Echt een aanrader!」

「Offers a very relaxing and comfortable stay. Located outside of town (will need to take a Tuk Tuk) but a great location for peace and quiet. Breakfast is very good/filling and dinner offers a nice selection of food which was very good. Highly recommend.」

「Birdwing Sigiriya felt like a home away from home, thanks to Sajee’s infectious warmth and attention to detail 🏡. From the moment we arrived, she treated us like family—whether it was sharing stories over tea or surprising us with a stroll to discover the magical "Birdwing Stone," a tucked-away spot only locals know. Her genuine care (10/10 host vibes!) turned a simple stay into an adventure.
The only tiny note? A mini fridge would’ve been handy for midnight snacks after those long days...
