Excellent location for midtown or broadway shows and dining. The problem with this hotel is that there isn't enough elevator capacity so there was always a long line to use them and they were always stuffed completely full. It was incredibly frustrating and I will avoid this hotel in the future for that reason alone. I would have expected better for the price and the Hilton name. Otherwise the staff was great and the place was clean.

Room felt a little narrow; however the beds and pillows were very comfortable— a”10”!!! Walls are a little thin. Shower was very nice, but there was no hair dryer. Every floor should have an ice machine; I had to go up two floors. Brian, the bellman was friendly, kind and FANTASTIC!!!!

My only complaint is that I was assured that our two rooms were connecting rooms. They were adjoining (side by side) but there was no door between the rooms. This was important to us as our teenage daughter was in a room by herself.

I stayed at this property 4 years ago and did not have the terrible service we had this time. Our AC was not working in our room. The thermostat was blank and no air was coming out of any vents. We notified the front desk 3 times. No one seemed to care. They said they would send someone to show us how to use the thermostat but they did not come when we were in the room. We later tried to show the front desk the blank thermostat but again no one was sent to our room. The third time they said they would send up fans but also never followed through. At one point 2 of the 3 elevators were not working and we had to wait 30 minutes to get up to our room. When we requested compensation for our hot and stuffy room with no AC on a day when the outside temp reached into the high 80s, we were told we’d have to contact Expedia and were given a Dunkin’ Donuts gift card for our troubles. I will not be staying here again nor recommending it to friends traveling to NYC. This is a shame because it’s in a prime location.
