We didn’t get to sleep past 7am because of construction on the street outside and literal constant beeping of machines. I normally wake up at 6am, but this was a Sunday morning and I had come into the city for a late night event. The train being outside of the window wasn’t a problem whatsoever, just the constant beeping. We could even hear it through earplugs. They could have booked our room on the opposite side of the hotel as a courtesy or made us aware of this beforehand but didn’t. Screw these people and their crappy hotel. Awful experience!

The hotel itself is nice & the surrounding property has greatly improved so the 3-stars given was due to the bathroom conditions. The lighting in the bathroom is better suited for a candlelit dinner- almost impossible to properly shave for a man and very difficult for a woman to apply her makeup. The shower curtain is about two sizes too small which allows for the water to spill onto the floor. Then as you shower, most of the water flows out of the bottom spigot as opposed to the shower head which then allows for the water to pool massively in the tub. There is no small magnifying mirror in the bathroom either. The staff was great and the lobby and room were clean.

The hotel was clean and nice and staff were friendly, however, the neighborhood is ok but not the best. The drug treatment center (syringe depsotory) is next door and a half block down there is a mini mart with drug activity/homeless outside. Fine for daytime comings and goings but we didnt feel comfortable out and about at night. Also note that this used to be a Holiday Inn and so Uber drivers got confused in pick up and drop off. After the first few times, we used an address across the street. It is very convenient to subway stop on J train

I found this place to have a very convenient location, with a lot of places to eat nearby. I enjoyed my stay overall, but unfortunately, the room had a strange smell. Additionally, the bathroom tub was not properly cleaned, as there was a lot of hair in it and on the floor. On the good side, the receptionist was very friendly!

They gave me a room with a broken bed and said it was the only one available. After the very friendly maintenance man who went to check on the bed spoke to them for us, they suddenly had another room available due to a “cancellation”. Besides that, the new room was ok and fit our needs. Location had a pretty good taco truck outside that was convenient.

Was hesitant to stay here because the few reviews. But we found it great. Was good price and value. Clean no frills place, hope they keep it clean like that, I would def stay again. Very close to the Kosciuszko stop on the J, made it easy to get into the city.
