We had 3 rooms for multiple generations of family, and we all walked away feeling like this was a good choice for us. We were there for 4 nights.
Things we noted:
- It was on a quiet street but the action was just at the end of the block, which was nice
- elevators were nice and generally speedy (reviews of many other NYC hotels complained extensively about slow elevators)
- transit was close but not super close. Expect about a 8-10 min walk anytime you need to jump on the subway.
- staff was nice, warm cookies were delicious, always coffee and ice in the lobby
- breakfast was fine but nothing to gush over. Bagels, muffins, coffee, juice, yogurt plus 2 hot items rotated by the day (egg type, meat type)
- rooms were clean & quiet, beds were comfy. Rooms are pretty tiny but wasn’t surprised for NYC. hopefully you like your roommate!
Overall, all 5 travelers give this a thumbs up!
