“Good property to stay for sort break, good size rooms shower room big but need refurbishment.”

“Disappointed with room, cold - one radiator didn’t appear to work and one needed reprogramming in order to get warmth. The duvet was thin meaning we were cold during the night, and the bed was uncomfortable, so much so we nearly got up and drove home. Shower had black mould on head & pipe. There was a dirty towel, wedged behind the door on the bathroom floor. I went to use a beaker and saw that it was stained so gave up using anything in the kitchen.”

“Excellent well designed modern lodge in superb condition. Ensuite bedrooms, comfortably furnished lounge area and fully fitted kitchen. Peaceful, secure countryside setting. Would definitely recommend for a quiet restful holiday. Lincoln, Newark and Nottingham easily accessible form this location. ”

“Very expensive for the type of hotel! We were disappointed no breakfast included in the price The toilet seat was peeling The taps had lost their labels ..disgusting ! In the night I walked by my bed to the the “step into the loo “ and nearly broke my toe scraped my my back on a badly placed wooden and brass door stop We will never visit this hotel again and would like a refund”

“Saw very few staff around. Couple of times reception was deserted for prolonged periods and no one was on the bar either. Maybe just low staffing levels that weekend. Staff we did encounter were friendly. Hotel is clean but a little old fashioned with its decor and felt slightly shabby in the corridors. Room had comfortable beds and a great refurbished bathroom. Parking was plentiful & it’s in a very convenient location. Would stay again if needed to be in the area”
