Great base for access to beaches, parks, funfair and other amenities
We stayed for a week at Madeira Terrace.
South Shields is my home town so I knew that the property was a short car journey to the seafront due to having small children with us. For adults or older children it's an easy 15-20 minute walk.
The property has 4 large bedrooms which were spacious, had comfortable beds and ample wardrobe space.
The host was really keen to ensure that we had what we needed and was prompt in responding to queries.
The kitchen was very well equipped with electric hob, oven, microwave oven, clothes washer and tumble drier. There's a combi boiler which meant that there was always a plentiful supply of hot water.
I hadn't realised when I booked that there was no dining table so we had to take a high chair and small table for the children. We also took stairgates as the property is on the first and second floors.
The property was very clean and warm.
The bathroom was well equipped with bath and shower over the bath. The only suggestion for improvement is that the bathroom is starting to look tired and could do with a bit of a makeover.
Overall we had a really good time here and the flat felt like home by the end of our week there.
