「If you're looking for the Waldorf Astoria, this ain't it! Still I give it high marks and look forward to returning. The room was comfortable and practical. We had everything we needed. 「The property was absolutely beautiful, room was divine. The only thing was there was noooo staff when we arrived at 7pm and didn’t see any in the morning either when we left at 10! I don’t mind a self check in but without the heads up it was extreme. Another guest had to let us in. We did not know our exact room so we literally got on their computer and found the booking ourselves and found the key. It went smoothly considering the circumstances but I can see how it could have gone...

「Location to Grandfather Mountain was great. A/C was great. Kitchen does not have some basic utensils and is not fully supplied (as advertised) - fortunately there is a Food Lion nearby where we bought what should have been supplied. Sofa and chairs did not feel clean and we put a sheet over the sofa. Beds and bed linens were good and clean. But, great place to have a family get-together to attend the nearby Highland Games at Grandfather Mountain.」
