My family of 6 and 2 dogs loved this place. Nice and quiet part so we can get sleep and relax while also close enough yo walk and bike to pier and restaurants. Loves the wood floors and access to the dock for paddle boarding. Comfy couches and beds and great stocked kitchen for cooking.

this was incredibly clean and in such an amazing locationThey left us a gingerbread house that was so sweet.this house needs sooooo much work, it rained most of the trip, but the patio is in such disrepair and the furniture is shockingly bad.this is not a great spot for toddlers or infants but the stairs did have some netting so our son couldn’t fall through.the beds were really comfy, we all slept well, though the thin windows and doors banged all night with rain. the kitchen has absolutely nothing to cook, some pots and pans, no cookie sheet to make cookies for santa we used a cake pan. really weird sets of dishes, the oven took an hour to preheat for cookies which was wild - but if you plan to eat out the entire time the kitchen is updated enough and clean.this place has so much potential, we are also hosts and are surprised the owners don’t update things.the sliding doors and blinds are incredibly difficult to use. all in all, you get what you pay for and the location and canal is so lovely!

We enjoyed our stay!

Loved being on the water, went paddle boarding right out the back door. My teenagers loved it and I felt safe with them in the water. Location was great we had bikes and rode everywhere. Next to busy road that was loud at all hours. House is somewhat outdated. Overall, I was happy with everything for the price :)

The positives: Great location and walkable to everything. Property looked just as pictured. Couch was nice and clean. The 'master' bed was very comfortable. The linen was comfy and soft. The towels were plush and white, like new. The negatives: I didn't realize upstairs only had one bathroom for all 3 rooms. No master shower!! My husband and I stayed there with young adults. So, we gave them the upstairs bathroom and we used the one downstairs (which had a shower also). Very inconvenient! Also, the 'master bedroom' had a pet odor. Although the place looked clean. It definitely is need of a complete remodel. It can also use a better maintenance person. You can clearly see what work was done/fixed as they did the bare minimum and even sloppy.

Nice property.. great location…

As described. Check in was perfect and Vacasa was proactive with checking on us. Kitchen has been remodeled. Three bedrooms.. two very large. Love the location with easy access to Balboa and Lido. A bit dated, but very clean and nice. Parking is a bit tight .. fits two large-ish cars or three small ones.

Spring break stay

Had a great time at this property. They beds were very comfortable and the living area. There was enough cooking pans to make our meals. They had coffee for the coffee pot and Keurig. Had some issues with the washer but they were quick to get it fixed. Easy checkout as well.

Family Christmas

Had a nice time at the house for a Christmas away from home. Great picture windows seeing the water but the house is very close to the main road so you hear a lot of traffic even with the windows closed. Overall clean but more worn and older then expected especially for the price.

Nice pony that has been ridden hard

Loved the views and location of house….balcony was unsafe, furniture old and stained… people walking through property to get to their boat (no warning, just show up) …construction next door … starting with loud noises at 8 am Monthly-Friday…dirty carpet upstairs in bedrooms, wood floors downstairs need to be refinished

House was nice overall, but did not reflect pictures. Clean and well equipped, however the house is not safe for children. Upper deck is severely weathered and has large gaps between the posts. The stairs also have large gaps that a child can easily fall though. Garage could not fit a large SUV.

House needs help

Good location for what I needed it for. House is in much need of maintenance. Screen doors won't stay on the track, so we just took them off. Oven would not heat. Toiletries were very limited, we actually ran out of toilet paper, no Kleenex for back up. No plastic wrap or baggies, who uses parchment paper. NO CLEANING SUPPLIES AT ALL to wipe down things. Beds are comfortable, nice sheets. Patio desperately needs help, all broken up cement....overall I would NOT stay here again...GP

Not what we expected, Vacasa Stepped up

This home was a huge disappointment. There were numerous issues ranging from hazards with outlets sparking, wires exposed in the outlets as well as safety concerns for children with the staircase railings having huge gaps where kids could easily fall thru. There was also major construction going on next door. We were notified there would be some construction, however not the extent we experienced. There was heavy machinery and drilling that took place all day long. Making this long story short, Vacasa knew how important this trip was to us, celebrating my husbands birthday and having our grown kids together in one home, they stepped up and relocated us to a different home. I am thrilled they did this for us as it literally saved our vacation. I will definitely rent from Vacasa again because of what they did.

I was so disappointed in this home. Have been going to Newport the past 20 years and this was my least favorite. The pictures had to be taken so long ago. The house was dirty. The shower smelled like sewage. The walls were even dirty. The website claimed quality linens- we didn’t even have a mattress pad just a thin sheet that was see through to the mattress. The couches were old as can be. The indoor trash can was filthy. The freezer was dirty. The stove and oven didn’t work unless you used a lighter each time. I was so excited about this property when I booked it and so upset when I saw what we actually got.

As an avid traveler, I try to leave positive reviews for others about likes and dislikes. Like many others, we rely on others (like ourselves) to provide accurate information about their visits. Whether the previous reviews were staged or not, I am not able to say. What I will say, is this was the most disgusting home we have ever stayed in. I would love to leave pictures that could articulate how much black mold, mildew and gunk was left in the showers. The carpets were stained throughout and looked like they had not been cleaned in 10 years! The furniture should just be tossed!! The outdoor blinds were being used inside and we're broken. It would have been nice to have the plaster repaired where they were installed. This place overall should never be a rental!! It's just that simple. It needs a thorough update and the pictures are entirely misleading. If you stay outside and never come in, it's the perfect home for you. The couches, the carpets, the window coverings, the showers are all disgusting. Yes, the cleaning company did reply to us. But what were they going to do during our four day stay? Were they going to come and clean the carpets, paint the walls, remove the disgusting mold and mildew from within the showers? The owners did not so much as even offer a refund which shows you exactly what they're using this property for. It is a bait and switch property. Show you pretty pictures and deliver one of the most disgusting stays you'll ever be at! This property is not even worthy of a star however, we are not able to give zero. If you are looking for a bug infested, disgusting home to stay in, this is the right place for you. Mike & Ashleigh
