Beautiful house! Perfect location! Well-stocked and comfortable. Walking path right in front of house with miles of sand and water as close as you can get! Will stay again.

We’ve booked 6 different houses on the beach up and down the Balboa peninsula over the last six years - this was by far the best. We rebooked this house for next year before we left. Most listings drastically overstate the “luxury” of the rental - that was NOT the case here. This property was vastly more beautiful than the listing. Think St. Regis, Ritz Carlton, etc. This place has high end appliances, a new grill and loads of space. The private courtyard was a favorite for our older family members looking for a beautiful place to read. The enormous garage fit our Ford Expedition rental just fine. Book this place and relax. We will continue to rent here as long as it’s available. Having the fridge stocked was a nice touch!

We greatly enjoyed our visit- this is likely the most well appointed vacation rental we have enjoyed - from the kitchen to the restroom and cleaning supplies, beach toys, family games, it had it all. The open kitchen with high-en appliances, was great for multiple cooks at the same time, and provided a wonderful gathering area. The bedrooms were comfortable, plenty of bath and beach towels, and the house is in a great location. We only have two suggestions - would love a fire pit in the center patio which is a great place to sit at night when the front porch gets too cold, and an awing for shade on the porch. It was a great place for our summer gathering.

Stunning!

Beautiful home in a prime location. Stayed here with family and small children and it was perfect. Home was very clean, comfortable and close to grocery stores, restaurants, etc. To top it all off Sara at Burr White was heaven sent and very attentive! Highly recommend booking through Burr White.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This is our fourth year of renting at the beach for a family reunion and the third year in this house. Our group consists of three families with two little kids (6 and 3) and one teenager (13). The house has a bit of a patio in front which is ideal for people watching and for watching the kids play in the sand. One of the nicest features of this place is an interior courtyard with seating area, dining table and grill. The bedrooms are situated so that everyone has a bit of privacy. The kids bunk (literally) in a room with two bunk beds and an adjacent play room that our tribe has dubbed “the secret room.” It has a kid-sized door and is outfitted with bean bag cushions and toys. As for the practical things....kitchen is well appointed (except for wine glasses!!) with a large refrigerator/freezer and a six-burner gas stove (which I covet since we live in Florida and can only have electric).

Loved the Oceanside Life

We really enjoyed being so close to the ocean and being able to hear the waves at night. We liked the layout of the house, and the location was great for bike riding and walking. Lots of great shops and restaurants in the Lido. Small hiccup at check-in when they called us to check our timing and the call was cut off but we couldn’t get through when we called back so we were a bit flustered when we arrived. The bed pillows were a bit hard for our taste but the mattresses were a comfortable. Some of the rugs might need updating.

Reviewer Comments: This is a beautiful home on the beach however it definitely wasn't worth the amount of money for the week. Weve stayed on the Boardwalk many times over the years and are local to Newport Beach. I have to say that there are much better values up and down the boardwalk.We arrived to trash from the previous tenant that was literally overflowing into the alley. It didn't get picked up for two days...even the nosy neighbors had something to say about it.The Master Bedroom sheets were all balled up and between the linens and bath towels it definitely was something i would have found at a sub-standard motel. We ditched the sheets and put down a light blanket they were so uncomfortable.The agent warned me when booking that the neighbors were overly sensitive to noise. It was our twins 21st b-day so as a courtesy we decided to do a daytime "Sunday Brunch" party for them. When the guests started to leave I went out to get a couple of items before starting dinner. I was gone for 15 minutes when the manager (George) came on property without notice and gave my wife and daughter a lashing. My wife was so upset she went straight upstairs and was in tears for an hour! Needless to say that it killed the mood and put a damper on their birthday partyI've never seen a kitchen in this price point so lacking of just about everything....not even a blender! Again the home is beautiful however for the money i paid i certainly didn't feel like it was money well spent. Next summer we will definitely look elsewhere for a better value!
