Having spent time on Balboa Island as a child, it was fun to spend a few days revisiting the island. The price, location and overall experience were good. If you’re looking for a small, quiet apartment with views looking east then I recommend this location.

Nice view of the channel. Apartment is clean and tidy on a quiet street. Has everything that you need and is just a few steps away from the beach and walking path around island. It's well priced for its location.

My family and I spent the last three days enjoying this quaint and simple property. It wasn’t anything fancy, but it suited our every need to enjoy a weekend away at the beach. The neighbor is quiet and perfectly located near the bay and a ferry ride away from Balboa Peninsula. We were able to park our car for the weekend and walk to all our destinations. I would love to return!!!

The rental process was very thorough and through an agency and not direct with the owner on VRBO. The apartment was in a great location at the quiet end of the island. An easy 5-8 min walk to the mini Mart and ferry and about 20 mins walk to downtown Balboa..The rental agency were very communicative and easy to deal with. Everything was as described and there is a decent amount of space for a 1 bed apartment. It's an older property but very clean, well maintained and very well fitted out.

We stayed for 9 days. The location was great for morning walks around the island, enough space for two to relax and unwind. Nice and bright, just like the photos, and a lovely view of the bay. All the amenities except for a washer/dryer but we have family nearby so it wasn’t a problem. Even parking wasn’t a concern. The bed was great too. It was a little cool so we had to turn the heat on to take the chill out of the morning but everything worked as it should. All in all, simply delightful and we didn’t want to leave.

We had a great weekend on Balboa Island in this darling apartment. I felt like we were living in a Coastal Living magazine! The view from this bay front apartment is perfect, the sunsets were spectacular. And, the decor is super clean and so cute, I want to move in and stay forever. We walked downtown to breakfast at Wilma's (pecan waffles), took the kids on the ferry to Rubys on the Pier, and of course walked back downtown for balboa bars (hey, we worked up an appetite with all that walking!) We brought our own paddle boards and it was so awesome to be able to step right outside the door and be on the bay. We will definitely stay here again--we were sad to leave.

Awesome location away from the "busy" part of the Island. Steps from the sand and very quiet. The only noise is Airplanes at 7:00 AM sharp which is not a problem for us since we are early risers. Unit is the perfect size for two. Downside is the unit is in desperate need of some TLC. The unit is old and is showing its age. Knob keeps coming off the the medicine cabinet and the tolilet seat is broken. It appears to have been this way for a LONG time. The furniture is cheap and uncomfortable except for the bed. Please spend a few bucks and upgrade the appliances and furniture. It is not a big investment and will go a long way toward your guests comfort.
