Room seemed clean, however there was a coffee cup lid under the sofa so not sure if the room is vacuumed thoroughly. There also seemed to be minimal soap in the bathroom which is not good as we were a family of 4 staying for 2 nights. The same soap is an ‘all-in-one’ soap for showering and conditioning shampoo so to we would need a good amount of soap as we were using the waterpark regularly. Otherwise staff were approachable and friendly and everything went smoothly.

I'm going to give an honest opinion. We booked a room at the Americana for two nights, from Friday to Sunday. Check-in went smoothly, and the staff seemed friendly. The building itself could use some renovations to bring it up to date. Upon arriving at our first room, we noticed black mold growing from the soap dispenser in the shower. Also, rust on the door hinges in the bathroom. The beds were extremely firm and uncomfortable, and the room overall felt pretty mediocre. We mentioned the mold issue to Expedia, who advised us to contact the front desk about possible compensation, refunds, or a fix. Expedia refunded us $100 in credits. Also, Expedia was easy to deal with—8/10 for them—but the hotel refused any compensation. They did offer us a different room instead. The second room was a noticeable improvement, though still not great and quite uncomfortable. The main issues were some salt stains (or something similar) on the bathroom floor and toilet. I also noticed a toenail on the floor in the bathroom. The toilet didn't flush properly the entire time—it even clogged once. We called the front desk, and they said they'd send someone up, but we never heard a knock. Fortunately, the toilet unclogged on its own. On the positive side, the water park was decent; my kids, aged 7 and 2, absolutely loved the slides. The arcade wasn't too bad, and the Boston Pizza was good. Overall, the property could benefit from major updates to modernize it.

We had a great stay at the hotel. Overall, everything was good and we truly enjoyed our time there — especially the kids. They had so much fun, and we appreciate the family-friendly atmosphere. I would just like to suggest that the pools open earlier, perhaps around 8:00 AM. Since check-out is at 11:00 AM and the pools only open at 10:00 AM, it doesn’t give guests much time to enjoy the amenities on their last day. Opening the pools earlier would allow families to make the most of their stay before departure. Thank you for the wonderful experience. We look forward to coming back.

Room was ok. It was weird not having normal windows in the room we were in. We really wish quiet time rules would be enforced. Parents and kids running and screaming in the hallway until past 1am made sleep our second night impossible. We had loved our past visit but are unsure if we will visit again.

Rooms reallyneed to be updated. Washrooms are really stained and not clean. We had a lower level room the back sliding door lock was broken. Didn’t feel comfortable sleeping with just a metal hook holding the door closed.
