「This was our third time staying at Mackworth House Farm and, as ever, Peter was the perfect host. The room was clean, tidy and spacious with a beautiful view of the garden. Check-in process was quick, and Peter was on hand to answer any questions we had. The breakfast options were plentiful, and there was a lovely pub a short distance away for evening meals/drinks. Can highly recommend for those wanting to stay in and around the Peak District.」

「Great welcome, staff very helpful and friendly, super decor scheme, very tasty in rooms and in the Indian restaurant below and what a bonus that was! Terrific high quality cooking, Indian food at its very best! Locals in the bar were very friendly, it really is a great place to stop. Bed was a bit spingy and soft but otherwise full marks, we will return for sure! 」

「A tastefully and comfortably modernised pub in a somewhat downbeat village near the M1 and airport but surprisingly quiet. The M1 is white noise in the background. I couldn't hear the planes. Rooms in the pub's grounds were comfortable with parking right outside and the food was amazing, including breakfast. No soggy mushrooms! If I was a lone female traveller I would feel particularly safe here. Very happy that we broke our journey overnight and will definitely do so again. 」

「Ample parking, good breakfast choices, good size room and en-suite. WiFi and TV in the room. Cosy communal lounge and kitchen. The kitchen well equipped with refrigerator, cooker and microwave.」

「What a lovely comfortable stay. Nice beds , pillows and duvet and in a beautiful house. Tea and coffee and a bottle of water on arrival. Could have had breakfast but didn't. There's a pub down the road. Will definitely stay again and go for walks around the area」
