The staff was very good, rooms are clean and the reception is warm. Things to be improved:, there are some havy works in the building, even at night till 4 oclock morning. Construction dust in corridors whole day. Only 3 menu available in the restaurant. The room TV did not work well.
This hotel is AWFUL. The sheets on the bed were dirty, there was no towel in the bathroom when I arrived and the light in the bathroom didn’t work. I arrived a 4am so had to stay but left the next day. Other guests also checked out early.
mauvaise.
I made my booking through Expedia, paid in advance and received a confirmation. As I was arriving in the early morning, I notified the hotel (twice) in advance via Expedia and I can see that both messages were read. On arrival however there was no room available and no offer to help find alternative accommodation, despite it being 04:00 in the morning. Luckily for me, I was visiting at they invitation of the Government and had a protocol officer from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs with me who did find me a room. Most travellers would not have this luxury and without his help I would have been left on the unwelcoming, unlit and, frankly, dangerous, streets of Niamey. Subsequently, the whole of the next morning was spent on the 'phone to Expedia - who were unable to resolve the issue of the original booking, or find me an alternative, so again I was left to my own devices. Deeply unimpressed!
The hotel rooms are just decent. The linen was blurred, maybe they smoked on the bed or something similar. Part of the furniture was falling to pieces. The breakfast is just ok, but was ravaged by groups having breakfast before me so little was left after them. There is a nice swimming pool but there are no chaise longue to relax beside it. The selection of food in the restaurant is poor. But the efforts of the staff must be appreciated because they work in a very difficult context. By big surprise I found out that the price paid here was almost DOUBLE the price actually paid to the hotel. Wifi... forget it (power cuts make it difficult to access it).
Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis stimmt in keiner Kategorie.
I was at Tenere from May 30 to June 4, 2015. During all this time, I never had internet on any floor except a very unstable connection at the loby. With the heat (48 - 50 degrees celcius) and dust and lots of winds, all windows were constantly left open so each time I stepped out of my room, there would be a layer of dust on everything. And the air conditioning in my room was leaking while water leaked from the bathroom above my bathroom hence my bathroom and all the towells and toilet paper were a mess all the time. Not too much choice on TV as well. Breakfast choice was minimal and should not be called continental at all. I find the hotel service (Food, etc just too pricy for the quality). I hope they fix up the service because they;ve got a nice building and are spoken about but yet, don't live up to.
This is a once splendid colonial hotel of the early sixties, from its style, which has had little maintenance or attention for many years. Rooms, ample in size, are very poorly maintained; alarming smell from the bath. On my last night the electricity failed for some three hours, a problem of the Nigerien state, not the hotel, but the hotel has no generator; I had to hurriedly pack in the dark to make my flight. Personnel can be quite friendly, but often to involve the guests in expensive deals. Meals in an empty restaurant, international but far from tasty; bored and negligent waiters. As a result of these problems, the hotel is little frequented by foreign guests, but nearly as expensive as the best in Niamey. It should be avoided if possible.
terrible..
nobody speak english...no soap, shampoo in the room as stated in expedia...
very dirty..bad smell everywhere ...the matress and pillowos in my room are 40 years old minimum..
