“I thought the gorilla theme was really cute and liked the shared space dorm feeling. Some guests were cheerful and not especially quiet but once it got late it was quiet and we slept well. It actually felt festive and pleasant. The bath facilities were clean. There could have been more garbage bins as they got full quickly and it became difficult to separate. The space had a good feeling and it was comfortable to sleep on futons even as a family. There's not much privacy so it might not be great……

“We are at this Machiya on our recent holiday to Kyoto. The host Yuki introduced the place to us and we got to make macha together. It was a lovely place to stay and the outdoor bath was really nice especially as it is winter time now. It is located near Kyoto station and Gojo station. We also had the traditional breakfast which was delicious. Overall we were glad we picked this place for our stay at Kyoto and would highly recommend it!!”
