Perfect relaxing week

This was our first trip to Eleuthera and we had an awesome time especially staying at this property! We felt like we were on the island by ourselves with our own private beach the majority of the time. The house was beautiful and the location was great centrally located. We had everything we needed and more.

Beautiful Location

The Dream House is stunning! The entire house gives you the entire beach vibes feeling. We traveled with 2 other couples and had a beautiful time. The beach had a beautiful pink tint that was breathtaking. You do have to hike down a hill and some stairs to get to the beach but it’s not too bad. They provide you with plastic beach chairs for you to sit in. There are enough spots for shade if you don’t like too much fun. The last few days we did experience a lot of garage on the beach that was washed up during high tide. The pool was small but functional. We paid to have the pool heated and it only worked 2 hog our seven days. We had to call several times to get it looked at but not sure it really got fixed. The deck with the ocean view is stunning. Pictures don’t do it justice. Both umbrellas at the tables on the deck unfortunately were broken and didn’t open. There were some loose deck panels and one loose glass panel. The inside of the house does need some updates. The handle to the freezer door fell off immediately the first time we used it. A few of the cabinets didn’t shut and were peeling. The master bathroom fan as well as the basement fan did not turn on & the master bathroom made a loud and annoying screaming sound every time you showered. We were also unable to connect to the sound system in the house. Overall I would recommend the dream house. It’s a beautiful place to vacation with family and friends. The drive into town isn’t too far either.

Wonderful Property!

We just stayed for 11 days this month. The house is perfect--with the pool and direct access to an awesome beach! Tennielle and crew were wonderful in assisting with any issues (oven and televisions needed reset). The house was well appointed with everything we needed. As mentioned in previous reviews, the road (or path) leading up to the house from Banks Road is challenging, so a Jeep or SUV is helpful. Also, the trek down to and up from the beach could be difficult for some but is definitely doable (water shoes would be helpful). Have nothing negative to say--all was exceptional!

Amazing Dream House Vacation!

This was the best vacation to date! The views are amazing the house is immaculate and well appointed, a perfect beach and the privacy was all beyond my expectations. The lasagna on the first night was amazing, thank you for that! We loved the quietness of the island and truly felt like a local for the week, without the hustle and bustle of a busy resort island. The wealth of local information was definitely a great help, I cannot say about good things about this property and the caretakers. We are already looking to book again! Thank you for sharing your Dream house, we look forward to coming back!

View is breathtaking - home immaculate

This home is beautiful and was very comfortable with 3 couples. Views, glass railing and wall of windows were so gorgeous. Only issue is the 2 spare bedrooms do not have on suite bathrooms - they are outside of the rooms. Beds and pillows are the most comfortable ever! No food/condiments provided - just a few spices, so be sure to bring what you need, or plan to buy it for twice the price. Immaculate clean - pool is small but more than adequate - we spent most time at the beach and sightseeing other beaches. We had 2 rolls TP in each bath and papertowels and kitchen trash bags and dish soap to get us started. No cable TV so plan on Hulu, You Tube TV etc. Cell phone reception and internet worked just fine in home. Lasagne left for first night was AMAZING - vege and suprisingly delish - guys did not even know there was no meat in it. Restaurants locally, 1648 house, Bouganvilla were amazing. Best grouper I have EVER had. Tippy's and Bucanners opened the day we were leaving :( Everyone was beyond nice, accomodating and friendly - loved this visit and this gorgeous home.

Fun and sun

Great property! Immaculately clean with well tended gardens and a night-one lasagna waiting for us! Had a great time snorkeling and fishing right off the beach as well as exploring other areas of the island. Governor’s Harbour is just the right mix of charm and size…..not too big, but has everything you need. Definitely one of the premier properties we’ve stayed at in the islands.

Even better than anticipated!

We absolutely loved our stay at Dream House! The photos really do not do the property justice. The leasing agent was kind, professional and very accommodating with a reschedule and the property manager was responsive for questions and very helpful. All of the home’s amenities were top notch. The property was extremely clean both inside and out. The view from the deck is really breath taking and while you may not see a direct sunset or sunrise for the deck- we can assure you that you will not regret the chance to see the views. One of the best additions to the vacation was a personal chef/caterer and bar service. The day we arrived we were met with a cocktail sampling from Joannie Delva- who we would recommend reaching out to prior to your stay at 242-464-0405. She helped coordinate food and beverage and made the most delicious drinks, which we were able to savor by the pool throughout our stay. With a days’ notice she was able to deliver anything from food to a robust cocktail offering which was packaged and ready to go. She was so incredibly helpful offering suggestions on where to go and what to see on the island. On the island: Pizza night at Bougainvillea was a blast. Some of the best pizza I’ve experienced and great live music. We also enjoyed lunch at the Buccaneer (Tippys was closed during our stay) The home is absolutely fantastic and we plan on returning. Our only thoughts are with the pool being solar heated- we wonder if anything can be done to turn up the temperature or adjusted? Temps during our stay were in the mid to high 70s and it remained quite chilly - however that did not prevent us from using the area and sitting around it on hot days. We did find the Sonos speaker a little difficult to use and probably needed a millennial to explain the app (having been used to other streaming music services) but once we had the hang of it we loved being able to play music. Would absolutely love the addition of an outdoor speaker or portable blue tooth speaker for the deck. We loved the house and the island so much we plan on returning!

Dream Stay

We stayed at Dream House for our 2nd trip to Eleuthera. Upon walking into the house, we all realized the name of the house is accurate. The pictures cannot possibly show how beautiful and fabulous this house is. The house is stocked with everything one needs to enjoy a vacation. It was perfect for our family of 3 adult couples. We had room to gather and room for privacy with each area having their own space. The property manager was attentive and took good care of all our needs. The power went out for 10 seconds and then the generator kicked in. We would not have known we were on generator except for the property manager calling to check in on us to make sure it was working. Everything worked on the generator including the AC. With Covid restrictions on the island, we spent a lot of time on the beach at the house. We spent time on other beaches, but found the one at the house was the one we liked the best. We even saw a stingray and lion fish. Bugs are always a problem on any Caribbean island, but this house was the first we have stayed at that they did not eat us during the night. We had the sliding doors open with the screens shut. The doors and screens are high quality and shut out the bugs. The beds are comfortable and they provide lots of pillows. We felt as though we were at a 5 star hotel but much better. Most of the restaurants were pick up only due to Covid restrictions. We were able to have Horatio, a local chef from Da Perk, cook wings, pizza, hamburgers, mac & cheese, rice, etc. He even delivered it to us. We all liked his food and he has reasonable prices. We stopped in at La Bougainvillea down the street to have dinner and cocktails since hotels are able to have dine. We love Eleuthera and plan on coming back. We will stay at Dream House again. We highly recommend it!!

Beautiful home with amazing views

We stayed at Dream House with our 5 adult children and found it to be better than we anticipated. The house is gorgeous and the view is amazing. A couple things to keep in mind: you will need a 4 wheel drive, the road to the house is treacherous. The walk to the beach is steep and would be difficult for older people or young children. It was windy so we weren’t able to snorkel out in front of the house much but there are many coral reefs right off the beach. There are plenty other beaches to explore on the island so we were able to go to other beaches out of the wind on windy days. Stay at the Dream House, you will not be disappointed!

Absolutely Beautiful!

Our stay at the Dream House was perfect. The house was truly a dream to stay in for a week. We’ve stayed in many vacation rental homes and have often felt the home didn’t live up to the pictures posted. However, the Dream House exceeded our expectations! We were blown away by the view. It had to be the most breathtaking view we’ve ever seen from the inside and outside the home. The beach right outside the back of the house was so pretty. We enjoyed the plentiful chairs for our whole crew and the 2 umbrellas. The pool was also so enjoyable and relaxing after making the small hike up from the beach. We cooked in the kitchen several nights and felt we had everything we could possibly need. The stores, restaurants and farmers market were just a short drive from the house. The beds were comfortable and we had plenty of room for all 7 of us. We took a day trip to see Queens Bath, Glass Window Bridge and Sapphire Blue Hole. That same day we had a boat tour with Tyman Fishing Charters and had dinner in Spanish Wells. The island is easy to get around and sights that are incredible along the way. During our visit we had dinner on Saturday night at Tippy’s (which is about a 10 min drive from the Dream House). It was so much fun listening to the live music Tippy’s offers on Saturday night. The others nights we ate at the Buccaneer Club, 1648 at the French Leave Resort and Wreckers in Spanish Wells. We also enjoyed Da Perk coffee shop in downtown Governors Harbor. Our stay in Eleuthera was the best vacation we have ever taken. The Dream House is beautiful, clean and comfortable. If you’ve never been to one of the out islands please don’t hesitant to go. It’s a totally different experience than Nassau or the other more populated islands. Eleuthera was easy to get to as that was one of our concerns. We took a direct flight from Chicago to Nassau and then flew on Southern Air Charter into Governors Harbor. The Drive is approximately 30 min from the GH airport. Tienelle the property manager did a fantastic job making us feel at home. We can’t wait to get back to Eleuthera.
