This cheerfully decorated small resort of oceanfront villas is perfectly located to take advantage of the fresh sea breezes and a magnificent view of the shimmering Caribbean sea. It has a sandy & rocky beach and the snorkeling in front of the villas is fantastic. It's about a 35 minute drive from the airport and George Town but only minutes to a few restaurants (Over the Edge, Rum Point and Kaibo), beach bars, watersport shops (Red Sail Sports at Rum Point), activities (Crystal Caves) and a small grocery store (Chisholm’s).

The living and relaxing here is easy. Head to the private beach and snorkel the colourful reef just offshore or jump in the double kayak and explore the picturesque shoreline. Alternatively, you can walk right out your door to the freshwater pool, located in the center of the complex, and relax in peace with the coconut trees for shade! Since Mahogany Point is a small-scale resort on Grand Cayman’s quiet North Coast, the beach and pool are often pleasantly deserted.

If you are looking for some activity, however, Rum Point—with its beach bar, restaurant, and watersports shop—is just a 10-minute drive away. The Botanical Gardens are a lovely way to spend an afternoon learning about the local flora and fauna! The Crystal Caves are a spectacular new attraction, located right in North Side, and of course the Bioluminescent tour is breath-taking, but is seasonal, so please check to see if it is on before you arrive, as reservations are required!

Inside Mahogany Point, a lovely, welcoming space awaits you and your guests. The villa provides a queen bed in the master, with an ensuite bathroom; the second bedroom upstairs has a king bed as well, with a bathroom for guests use. The third bedroom, located downstairs, has 2 twins and another full bathroom, so there is plenty of space to accommodate up to 6 guests comfortably. The kitchen is fully stocked with all the utensils and appliances you need to cook your own meals and enjoy your favourite dish. Also, there is a grill on the patio, with charcoal and lighter fluid on site. We recommend picking up some fresh seafood, either at Rum Point, or speak to your Property Manager, and enjoy it on the patio with the sunset breezes, cool night air and a Caribbean cocktail!

Fabulous North Side Oceanfront rental

The property was perfect! The pictures are very accurate. There was plenty of space for all 6 of us. The owner provided a pack n play and a high chair for our grandson. Everything was very clean. We enjoyed the snorkeling gear, kayaks, pickleball equipment, grill, and pool. There were beach chairs and a cooler we used twice on visits to 7 MB. Owner gave us several great restaurant recommendations. We loved everything about our stay. I would recommend this property!!

Beautiful location, very quiet area, perfect sunset views. Bring water shoes if you want to get in the ocean. Minor maintenance issue came up, the property manager Clohe addressed the concern quickly and was very hospitable and helpful the entire stay.

Northside

Very comfortable home right on the ocean. Great location for us to explore all areas of the island (furthest drive 40 minutes to seven mile beach area). A bit windy at times but still nice relaxing beach, pool and quiet neighborhood. Our older teenagers all have a comfortable bed to themselves, plenty of room to cook and relax. Our hosts were great especially Mark giving us ideas for our adventurous, active family who loves to snorkel and swim. Chloe the property manager was available for any of our needs (which was not much because the place was well furnished).

Great place to stay

We enjoyed our time on the North side of the Island. We rented a car to get around. We found many beautiful beaches just a short drive from the house. Our home location is directly on the water front. But with many rocks in the water we didn’t go out far. The covered patio was the perfect spot in the morning for coffee, & then in the evening for a quiet end of the day.Accommodation were perfect giving us all a nice bedroom with private baths. Definitely would go back. Was a great time. Everything was clean & had all that was needed to prepare food. Although we usually had breakfast & lunch in. Thank you for our on the water stay.

Wonderful Family Vacation Beach House

Go ahead & book this beach house! Clean & comfortable, great location on the quieter North Side. Terrific snorkeling, right from home!! Amazing! (Bring water shoes to get over the rocky parts of the beach) Also enjoyed using the kayaks...such a BONUS to be able to do both of these activities right from your (beach) doorstep! Whenever you feel like it!! Mark & Cathy are thoughtful, accommodating hosts who clearly want their guests to enjoy a memorable vacation! Book a trip to Stingray City to swim with the rays and to Crystal Caves. We did a night time kayak trip to the Bioluminescence Bay which was really cool. If you can, take a drive to explore the island and go see the blowholes. Camana Bay is a lovely spot for a day trip. Rum Point Club and Kaibo are both great restaurants. Lots of good suggestions in the many reviews! Highly recommend Mahogany Point 5. We loved staying here and had a wonderful holiday on Grand Cayman Island,10/10!!

Girl's Trip

Located on the North Side, very nice, quiet location. House is very clean and in good condition. Chloe, the Property Manager stopped by to introduce herself and left us 2 brand new hair dryers (very much appreciated!). We had a very nice time, it was very windy the entire week so we were unable to get in the water in front of the house due to the high surf, I think the snorkeling would be amazing at a less windy time of year.

Girls’ Trip in Paradise

Mahogany 5 did not disappoint. We had a fantastic stay. The house was well stocked and it was very clean. Mark, the owner, was very informative about things to do and places to go. Chloe, the manager, was friendly and helpful at arrival and throughout the trip. The area is very quiet and peaceful. It was great waking up in the morning to the view and sound of the ocean so close to our patio. We will not hesitate to stay here again for future trips.

Great Place on the North Side!

We had a great stay the week before Christmas. The house is right on the beach, so you get to relax to the sound of the waves. It's not a swimming beach, but lovely all the same. We spent a lot of time at Kaibo Beach and Rum Point, both white sand beaches with a great vibe and just ten minutes away. The house is well equipped and clean, just as advertised. The hot water heater went out one day and Chloe had someone there within a hour on Christmas Eve to fix it (turned out it was a breaker that was mislabeled on the board, we had already tried the breaker.) If you are looking for the quiet side of the island, this is a wonderful place to stay and just unwind to the sound of the waves. Highly recommend and we would book again.

Best vacation ever!

Mahogany Point 5 was the perfect location for us. The house was clean and the view was amazing. We all agreed we will be returning. There was plenty to do close by, and it didnt take too long to get to the East or West end. Mark spent time answering all my questions and made spot on reccomendations for our family. Best vacation EVER!!

Super impressed with the location of the house, it was everything that we wanted and far enough from the crowds to really relax but close enough to drive over and enjoy for the day (7-mile beach area). We enjoyed so much great food while there. House was fully stocked. Snorkeling in front of the house was awesome and it was nice to have the gear available to use. Mark communicated above and beyond to make sure our stay was perfect. Captain Marvin's snorkeling tour was the best. Fav restaurants: Over the Edge (Best calamari), Rum Point Club, and Tukka East End. Activities: Snorkeling w/ Capt Marvin's, swam with stingrays, starfish point, Snorkeling in front of house.I would not hesitate to book this property, hands down one of our favorite vacation spots and hopefully we will return. Definitely consider North Side of the Island if you want to relax. We felt completely safe on the entire island. Super friendly locals. 5 Stars for sure!

Perfect Home Base

This was perfect for us as a home base to enjoy all that the island has to offer. We loved being on the northside away from the congestion. Of course we took a couple day trips to the more touristy areas, but there is so much to do all over the island that we would have been less likely to explore if not where we were. But you don’t need to go anywhere there is plenty to do right at the house, which was great for us when we wanted to relax but the kids still wanted something to do. They could snorkel and kayak right outside the door. The house is perfectly appointed. You can tell that the owners use it to so they have thought of everything! All the spaces and furniture were very comfortable. We were able to cook some meals on the grill and enjoy the patios. The host was very communicative and a great resources as well. Cannot go wrong with a stay here.

Ocean Get Away

We had a wonderful family time and celebration of my nephew graduating from high school. The graduate and his brother, age 7, made cherished memories at the house: interacting with the hermit crabs, watching the geckos, swimming in the pool, collecting shells and exploring parts of the island. The property manager was very welcoming and kindly shared coconut and mango with us. The owner, Mark, was helpful in referring a rental car for the family and making practical suggestions about the area. We all left feeling truly refreshed and blessed! ~Angie S.

Paradise awaits!

If you are looking for peace and tranquility, look no further. This units has everything you could ever want, nothing was missing just show up ready to play and relax. Within 15 minutes of arriving we were kayaking and snorkeling as all the gear was supplied. Sit on the porch and have a frozen drink while you watch the waves roll in. You are minutes from Rum Point, Starfish Point or Tukka’s on the East End. Chisolm’s grocery is steps away and a quick bite to eat at Over The Edge is also less than a mile down the street. The unit is spacious and clean and did I mention it has everything you could possibly need. Just show up with swim suits and flip flops and you will be good to go. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

Grand Cayman Delight

The perfect place to stay! It really had everything we were looking for. The villa was very welcoming and comfortable. The views never disappoint. Everyday was truly a new day. We went snorkeling right outside and saw a lot of marine life. The pool was great when it was windy or the kids needed a break from the ocean. Mark was very responsive to my questions and Chole the property manager was so sweet and on point. There are many beautiful places to visit within a short distance. We would definitely stay here again! The property is well taken care of and you can tell the hosts love it and the island!

The perfect house for a relaxing family vacation

I'm missing those ocean breezes from the bedroom already! This was a great rental property. We snorkeled every day right outside the back door. We loved the back porch, with shade from the sun. This is the quieter side of the island, which made it really relaxing. We appreciated that the property comes with kayaks and that the pool is also an option. We also loved the botanical gardens, which are nearby. Our favorite restaurant was Tukka, which is about 10 minutes away. Note: There is a small grocery store nearby, but it only has the basics. We stocked up on groceries when we landed, and then got more groceries halfway through the week when we went into George Town to go to Sting Ray City.

Great stay on the North Shore

Thank you Mark and Cathy. What a wonderful stay in a great house. The location was perfect. The North Side of the island is quieter, but close to some of the best snorkeling on the island. The amenities were wonderful. We loved seeing the sunrises and the different colors on the water. It was great eating outdoors watching the Carribean Sea. We will look forward to staying here again on our next trip to Grand Cayman.

Lovely home for peace and quiet

We loved our stay at Mahogany Point. Quiet, peaceful, and relaxing with great snorkeling right outside. Mark was an amazing host with lots of helpful suggestions, and patiently helped us when on the first night google led us to the wrong complex and we tried to get into the wrong condo (oops!). Nothing but smooth sailing and tropical breezes after that. We can't wait to return!
