Lovely 2 Bedroom apartment located in a rural setting. Within walking distance to Niagara River and Gratwick park. (10 mins)
The space
The owner lives onsite in the Main house. The apartment is located on the second floor of a 4 bay garage, located away from the road in the backyard behind the Main house. There are 2 apartments on the second floor. Only one is available to rent as the other is occupied. The apartment is approx. 870 sq feet. ***PLEASE NOTE: THERE ARE 12 STAIRS LEADING UP TO THE APARTMENT AND MAY NOT BE SUITABLE FOR SOMEONE WHO CANNOT CLIMB STAIRS. PLEASE DO NOT BOOK IF THIS IS THE CASE.

Guests will have access to the balcony and backyard.
Other things to note
There is lots of wildlife in the area including rabbits, raccoons, skunks, fox, wild turkeys, hawks, deer and coyotes. Please do not feed the wildlife.

My family & I stayed at the Country Retreat while we were in the area for a hockey tournament. This condo was absolutely perfect!! The beds were soooo comfortable, the shower was incredible after a long day at the rink & the hosts were very friendly!! They left out snacks & the keurig was prepped with coffee and tea! Upon arrival the floors were quite cold as this place is over a garage but all of the heat registers are in or on the floor so it warmed up very quickly! We don’t really have a reason to come back to the area but we would love more time at the Country Retreat! Hoping to be back next season!!

Absolutely loved the place.They really thought of everything. Would highly recommend. Just note, it requires going up skinny steep stairs but they have included a handrail. Just to let you know if that's something that could be an issue to you. Bed was so comfy. The place was absolutely charming and a great location to anything around it including Niagara Falls.

We stayed here for our honeymoon and it was absolutely perfect! The host, Dennis, was very nice, helpful and accommodating. The apartment was far beyond our expectations! It's had everything you could ask for and more. The shower was like being at a luxury hotel. The neighborhood is so peaceful and beautiful. We will definitely be staying here again.

Wonderful stay!
We really enjoyed our weekend stay! Apartment was spotless, comfortable and peaceful. Location was excellent. We will book again! On a personal note my hubby tore his rotator and was not able to lift much. Our host helped us with unloading and loading our vehicle.So beyond the call of duty and so appreciated. Thanks again!

THIS IS DEFINITELY A 10 OUT OF 10! BEST VRBO BY FAR!!
The apartment was in a quiet and beautiful location. It was absolutely gorgeous, as it was very clean, stocked and updated. All the rooms were the perfect size, and the beds were very comfortable. They had snacks for us, and an umbrella just outside the door, just in case, which was so thoughtful. The outside space was a plus, it was very relaxing. The Hosts Dennis and Cheryl were extremely friendly and accommodating. Will definitely book again if in the Niagara Falls area.

Peaceful and Relaxing
My husband and I had never been to Niagara Falls and we found this little gem for our stay. It was in a nice quiet location and we loved the balcony in the mornings and evenings. It was only about 20 minutes away from Niagara Falls state park and very close to a lot of local restaurants as well. We loved the shower and the beds as well. The snacks were wonderful and the host was very thoughtful in providing a few bottles of water which was much needed after an 8 hour drive. The only thing I would caution anyone looking to rent this place is that it is upstairs and the stairs are fairly steep and narrow. My husband is getting ready for a hip replacement and he had a little bit of trouble on the stairs as they were, as mentioned before, pretty steep. Other than that - it was perfect! We also loved petting the owner's dog, Charlotte, who sometimes was lying in the driveway and was very friendly.

The apartment is absolutely gorgeous. Clean and updated. All the little extras; snacks, cold water in the fridge, just make it extra welcoming. Beds were very comfortable. Very nice and quiet area, the drive to Niagara Falls was short.

Perfect country retreat

Amazing
Such a wonderful place to stay. Was there for 5 nights and felt like home. Owners on site were helpful and very hospitable. One of the best VRBOs i have stayed at as they supply everything you need. If your going to the Falls or the Bills game this is a must stay place, will return here when back in the area.

Extended stay
The owners are on site and extremely pleasant to deal with. I would love to keep this hidden gem all to myself, but that wouldn’t be fair to the owners. My wife and I go back home to Buffalo at least once a year, and if there’s availability this will be the place on the top of our list.
Thank you Dennis, Cheryl and Charlotte for making us feel right at home, and having a great place to stay!

Outstanding!
So comfortable! Felt like home! You can tell when a host puts extra effort into their rental and this is one of those! Every amenity you could ask for. And the shower was better than most of the high end hotels I've stayed in! Would definitely stay here again! Highly recommended!
