“Communication was fine, as well as getting into the house. Few problems with the upkeep/cleaning. Kitchen window was disgusting with spiders a dirt all over it. Grass was about 1.5ft tall in the front yard. Dock needs some serious work as there are some boards that are ready to be replaced asap. Roof over boat lift is completely gone and has a tarp over it. For the money it isn’t bad, but it needs some attention. Cleaning and mowing should be the bare minimum for the owner given each renter is……

“host was nice. inside looks pretty updated besides the bathrooms but everything works. check in was easy. i caught me a little bass off the dock but water is pretty shallow. it's nice for a mobile home. i would stay here again. ”

“3 generations came together to celebrate Thanksgiving here, and we had a wonderful time! We cooked a turkey on the gas grill; the house was very well stocked for cooking and serving a big meal for 15. We brought a folding table for an extra 6 seats in the kitchen/dining room, which was a perfect fit (turns out the house has a folding table and 6 nice folding chairs!).We enjoyed the fire pit and appreciated it was well stocked with wood. The hot tub took until the second night to heat up, but……

“This home is an AMAZING get away! Quiet, private, convenient to grocery store/gas station, easy access to lake, lake ladder ideal for older folks as well, flat lot, AC pumps strong, nice hot tub, wide covered porch overlooking lake, and well appointed kitchen. Owner communicated quickly answering any questions. Would come back again!”

“For the past 6 years, my family and I have rented a house on Lake Gaston just about every year for the week of 4th of July. We have yet to find a house that we leave thinking “let’s come back to this house next year”. Until now. Northern Cove Retreat is and has everything we could ever want or need. I have learned a lot from each different rental over the years, every year I add new things to my lake packing list for the next year and was sure this year would be my year for finally thinking of……

“While visiting the area for a wedding, we loved our stay in this extremely well-provisioned property! We took beach chairs down to the sandy beach and had a nice quiet day at the water’s edge. There’s an outdoor plug so I was able to charge my hybrid. Sweet little community and very welcoming host.”

“The location was good for our family get-together. If you need dock space, you should coordinate with the owner, Tyler, to make sufficient room for your pontoon or power boat. There is very limited room on the outside of dock, as owner described as 9.5 x 2ft. We could not dock a rental pontoon boat or ski boat. We did not swim in dock area due to weeds, silt and algae.(Could not upload photo).”
