“The converted jail was such an interesting and unique place to stay. The property is beautiful, the house and room were clean and inviting, and the cell block was a great place to hang out and explore. We loved morning coffee on the balcony and the fabulous whirlpool tub for relaxing. Make sure to check out the incredible food at the local Algerian restaurant, and a lovely river walk, or explore the four story antique mall in town!”

“This sweet little getaway spot was everything I needed for a 2-day conference nearby. It sports rustic charm and peace and quiet. The kitchen had everything I needed for my first night’s meal (subsequent meals were had away from property). The host offered a variety of snacks, drinks, or even frozen burritos or pizza for purchase by Venmo. The bathroom was clean and the shower had a built in seat. There were also lovely items available in both the shower and bathroom caddy. I didn’t use the……

“Property was clean and inviting and fit our needs perfectly. We enjoyed our stay, thanks!”

“Great place! Perfect for anyone traveling with a boat.”

“Great easy spot with good space for a family. A bit farther from the main downtown but easily walkable.”

“We had a great vacation! It was a short stay for us. Our kids would have loved to stay longer. We enjoyed the views of the lake and having a private beach area.”

“Great location!”

“The house was the perfect fit for our group. Hosts communicated clearly and were extremely prompt to answer any questions.”

“Nice quiet place, enjoyed out stay!”

“Great historic place that has great charm.”

“The home is in a good location, beautifully designed and decorated in every corner, but usable shelf space is scarce in bedrooms and bathrooms especially. Hot tub was a nice feature and great way to relax. We had an elderly family member along who has limited mobility, and the main level bedroom/bathroom was a good option for them, though the bathroom could use a grab bar or two for even more accessibility. Mattresses are on the softer side (memory foam), which we found pretty comfortable,……

“Very nice, cool, clean with a good location. A little awkward getting in the house due to parking and the steps in would not be good for elderly or handicapped. Very sparse on kitchen equipment-bare minimum. But all in all the beds were nice and shower great.”

“We had a lovely stay. Everything was clean, well stocked, and communication very good. Nice updated kitchen and they kept the charm with original wood work. Plenty of space for all of us. Good location to walk downtown to restaurants and shops. We enjoyed sitting and chatting on the porch. Thank you!”

“Loved this place - convenient if needing to be in Cedar Falls or Waterloo!! Very clean & comfortable. Will rebook to stay again!!”
