An Absolutely Magical Stargazing Retreat!We had an incredible stay at this cottage and cannot recommend it enough.The location is ideal—a very manageable and scenic 4-hour drive from the GTA, making it a perfect getaway. Blake and Julie were great hosts, responses were very quick.Tobermory is a lovely little town with friendly people.The cottage itself was clean and the beds and sofa were all comfortable.The private lakefront backyard, with a pier, is the true star of the property. It's spacious, perfectly maintained, and is extremely private.Waking up to that serene lake view with our morning coffee was just as wonderful as the stargazing at night. We can confirm you can clearly see the Milky Way without any equipment. If you are interested in Astrophotography, you are in for a treat.We were even lucky enough to catch the Northern Lights this 2025 Sept. Words don't quite do the views justice, so we'll let the photos speak for themselves. All taken by mobile phone cameras.
