Restaurant : Attente longue, menu en anglais, personnel ne rendant pas la monnaie (environ 500ktzt), assiettes bien fournies et appétissantes, prix corrects Buffet petit dej : Copieux, beaucoup de choix en sucré et salé, carrément des plats du style poulet à la crème, endroit confortable et appaisant Chambre Spacieuse, propre, immense télé, literie confortable, clim cassée le 1er du coup changement de chambre Personnel : Anglais basique mais très accueillant et à notre service pour taxi, infos diverses et même check in des billets d'avion quand le site est exclusivement en kazakh Localisation : Pas au centre, centre commercial à 5mn à pied, taxi à 1500 kzt du centre (2000 au retour) avec l'app yandex moitié prix Bref, un hôtel fort sympathique avec de la musique français et reconnaissable de loin gras à son toi bleu

It is a bit far from the city centre, but we stayed only one night before flying home so for us it was not a problem. The only problem we had was that the restaurant doesn't have a menu in English! That is not ok in a 4 star hotel. We also had a waitress who didn't speak a word of English, but we got another one who spoke English (but didn't know what salmon is).

Comfortable, nice and a good value hotel

The hotel looks nice and new, clean and well maintained. Rooms are spacious, breakfast selection with a touch of a local cuisine. Location of this hotel is convenient - 5 min. by taxi to the center of new part of Astana and - 10 min. to the old.

Outstanding stay

I really enjoyed my stay here. The room was clean and comfortable. Staff was very helpful, professional, and respectful. It was quiet and secure, and it was close to shops. Internet was high speed and reliable.

The Alanda is superb value for money, it's clean, comfortable, has everything you'll need for a pleasant stay. staff couldn't be more helpful, whether getting taxis, a hot drink when you come in from the cold or anything else. The rooms well furnished, clean with everything you need. Depending what you are doing the location isn't right in the centre however has a small shopping mall virtually opposite and is a 10 min taxi ride to main area, taxis are very cheap so that's no issue. I cone regularly for business and would definately stay here again.

Excellent Hotel

I had previously booked into another hotel but refused to stay there due to poor wifi, no tea and coffee making facilities and no international TV channels. I sat in that hotel's foyer using wifi and found the Alanda hotel on ebookers. The Alanda is a new 4/5* hotel with excellent rooms and facilities. Conveniently the Alanda is situated within a short walk to the Astana Shopping Mall. Taxis are cheap and usually cost 1000 to 2000 Tenge or 3 to 5 UK pounds to downtown about 10 minutes away. Also not too far to walk to town. This hotel is excellent quality and the only criticism I will make is about breakfast. No toast, no variety of cereals and the scrambled egg was very very poor. Maybe a little more effort by the culinary staff would have warranted top marks. However, this is a variable which can rapidly be improved. Maybe the chefs should visit the Bon Bon cafe in Almaty for culinary training. The quality their was excellent. The Alanda is an excellent hotel with massive potential. The wifi was strong and stable, The rooms are excellent, the staff were most helpfull. International TV channels very restricted and need a broader package. However, as previously indicated the culinary staff need a little more imagination and experience. That can easily be rectified. I would certainly stay there again. I am sure the variables will be improved to match all of the standards at this hotel.
