Rustic 1960's Oceanfront Cottage With Modern Updates


This charming 1960's Cottage is a 4 bedroom / 2 bathroom single story home. The Oceanfront location has approximately 1200 square feet, renovated bathrooms with tile showers while the home maintains the original 1960's charm with Hardwood Floors in the bedrooms and Vaulted Beam ceilings throughout the home. The kitchen is mostly original, handmade cabinets, so no Granite or Marble Counter tops, but fully functional. The beds were fitted throughout with QUALITY Mattresses, so you will wake up feeling refreshed and ready for a day of fun.

Housekeeping/cleaning fee for all rentals is $150.00 Cancellation insurance available through VRBO. Damage Protection Insurance of $89 may be purchased through VRBO in lieu of $400 refundable deposit
Linen Charge of $125/stay is required during peak season and automatically included for all rentals.

In peak season from Memorial Day through Labor Day, the Changeover date is Saturday, booked by the week.
As we use the home frequently ourselves, we occasionally make minor updates to the furnishings and decor, so check back regularly for updates.

We do not allow animals of any kind, as an accommodation to several allergen sensitive repeat guests.

This place is great. Right in the beach. Comfortable. Plenty of space/bess for a sanity or group. Owner was extremely responsive.No question about it - I would rent this place again.

Great House

This was a great little house right on the beach, which was perfect for the little kids. The layout of the house was great. There was plenty of room for our family of 12! Lots of games there for the kids...and adults to play.

Perfect Family Beach House

Love this place! Perfect for our family to stay! Very comfortable beds and lots of room for our gang to gather around the table, or the den for a movie or the deck to hang out. Beach access is perfect!

Wonderful place

This place was big enough to hold our family comfortably, great view of the ocean and beach. Quick access to store for groceries. Property owner was quick to respond and extremely helpful during our stay! We would love to come back in the future!

Quaint Cottage Ocean Front

My sisters and 2 friends spent a week here in April 2024. Although the cottage could use a little "sprucing up", we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would certainly rent it again. Found a great place for breakfast at the Old Bridge Diner! And a wonderful dinner at The Island Way restaurant.

Oceanfront!

The cottage is cozy and has great beach access! We had a small problem with one shower and the property owner was very prompt to get it fixed. We had several pack n plays for babies and were able to fit them in the bedrooms too! There were no stairs inside the cottage so nice for traveling with Littles. We were farther on the west end of the blvd, which put us farther from the main places in town, but still just a short drive. We would definitely stay again!

Relaxing

The beach house was very relaxing. It had an old rustic look, but the best thing is you can hear the waves crashing against the beach all night. Spent most our time sitting on the deck looking and listening to the water.

Great Week of Beach Fun

Incredible host!!! Great communication and willingness to satisfy his guest. This is our second stay with Pete and hopefully there will be many more in the years to come. Great peaceful location and the feel of a cottage--don't feel as if you can't touch anything or it might break--very cozy! I just can't express how much we enjoyed staying with Pete. God bless!

Ocean front property

This ocean front home is such a great place to stay. This was our second time there and will not be our last. It is conveniently located to several places that we love on Oak Island. The owner is very nice and easy to work with to make our trip a great experience. We absolutely love sitting out on the beautiful deck and enjoying the beach and ocean.

Great Place and Awesome Host

We had a wonderful time staying in this beach home listening to the waves and reading books. Truly a warm experience that brought back fond memories of visiting coastal Carolina as a kid. We cooked breakfast and lunch in the house and went out for seafood for dinner at the tasty local restaurants. The host was easy to get along with, extremely accommodating and very communicative making the overall experience second to none - seriously just a top notch down to earth person. We absolutely would stay here again and recommend this home for your next vacation too.

A wonderful respite!

We have stayed at this property once before and really enjoyed being right in front of the ocean, so wanted the same experience. It did not disappoint. There were 7 of us from the age range of 18 to 80s. All of us enjoyed our time here equally. The house is rustic and could use a little TLC, but you can’t beat the proximity to the ocean, the covered balcony where we sat for hours watching the waves and wildlife, beautiful beach that is not crowded, the convenience of staying together in the same space with family, a bed for everyone, and so many other conveniences. I really appreciated the brand new green pans for cooking/heating up our meals as we tend to cook some of our meals. All in all, it was such a relaxing time of rest after a very busy year!! This house provided our family with all that we needed to have wonderful vacation. I was even able to see the milky way:)
