TV is 40" Flat Screen LCD (extended cable), TVs in two bedrooms, DVD player, internet access, ceiling fan. Outdoor shower with hot and cold, covered front porch with gliders and chairs, square picnic table set under the house, beach access across street. Close to fishing pier and restaurant. Centrally located on Oak Island, Statehouse is convenient to local activities, shops, and restaurants, as well as the bridge leading to historic Southport and its numerous shops and historic points of interest.

Comfortable but old and not updated

We had everything we needed and all furnishings and equipment (coffee maker, dishwasher, heat/AC, showers, etc.) worked well. The building is old and rustic with no updates in baths or kitchen. Supplies were minimal, e.g., no hand soap in baths or kitchen. So our stay was adequate with no problems, but next time we'll look for something with more modern touches.
